*Imagine:* You're working on a quaint little house. At last, you finally finish it. It's a picturesque little abode. All your other belongings are in your chests, and your furnace is roaring away. Then, the rain starts to fall. As you hear the gentle pitter-patter on the roof and windows, you sit in your little wooden step of a chair and look outside at all the pigs and sheep passing by. Then, you fall asleep, worry-free of any ender-men or zombies. Edit: Improved some of the descriptive language used and wanted to thank you all for the likes. Minecraft is one of a kind, and it will never be another one. But, Minecraft for us was a childhood game, and great experience. For the following generation they will have their own Minecraft. Maybe not Minecraft exactly, but the same enjoyment and pleasure that we got from games like Minecraft, halo etc... And even though our childhood is gone, along with those moments and nostalgic songs. It will still be in our memories. Its good to know that a kid out there or in the future will have the same feeling towards a game. And even though our time as kids past, for others its just beginning.

God, I wish I could go back to those days... That day when my friend told me about that new game, you could build whatever you wanted! I was blown away. That same day I got home, got up the stairs and downloaded the demo for Minecraft on my Xbox 360. What do I do? How do I build? How do I, play? As the sun went down, and the moon went up, the monsters came out. I was so scared! I mean, zombies? Huge spiders? Skeletons? Too much!! The thing that scared me the most was when something started walking out of the pond. Something weird. No arms. Green. Weird face. Holy shit I kid you not 9 year old me was shitting his pants. For some reason I identified it as the "lake Ness monster" why? I don't know either, but I did. I put down the controller and never went back to it. At least for a few months. Afterwards is when it really began. I ended up buying it, and spawning into that tutorial map dozens of times, either with friends or alone. Either way, every day I found something new. Self constructing bridge? Wow! I wonder what's inside that huge Minecraft logo up there... Nether portal? Amazing! I just couldn't get enough. Then I finally tried out creative mode. I remember every map I made. I remember that brick house I filled with lava, layered glass over it and filled it with chicken. I remember that shitty pixel art I made, and I felt so proud when I finished it. I remember THAT map. "Best world". I remember every single thing in that world. I built in it for over a year. Castles, roller coasters, mansions, even the fnaf1 map ( that goes to show how long I kept using that map) every day I spawned in a built something different. I even made my younger sister play it with me. She built shitty tree houses, but we had a ton of fun. I miss those days... I then got it on PC for one reason and one reason only. Mods. Or so I thought. You see, there was a KZbinr I watched that hay the TMI mod always on, so I thought it came as a default with Minecraft, so I bought it. Nope. Still had tons of fun and memorable moments. I remember "finding Herobrine" and shutting Minecraft down faster than, you closing that porn tab. I still went back. I always did. Eventually I started playing multiplayer and even started a KZbin channel. Wasn't successful at all obviously, but still had a blast making videos. I eventually deleted it in panic because my cousin was making fun of it. Regret it to this day. The memories of the channel reside on my mind and my mind only. I was just a kid back then. It was around 2012 when I first played it. I may not be an adult, but 6 years is still a long time. Thanks for making this and thanks to Mojang and Notch for making this gem. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug. Wholesome update: a few months ago when I entered a new school I met some of the most wholesome people I've ever met, and they had the same love and nostalgia for this game that I have. After a month or so, some old friends and I decided to make a realm, and I invited some of my friends from high school, and lemme tell you, those moments and memories I made were the ones you never forget. We did eventually reset it because someone(never found out who) was stealing from everyone, but afterwards it never happened. We did make a few more realms, but it died off. But the moments I made with them are here to stay. And this quarantine I've also met some new people through a mutual friend, and yes, we made another realm, and yes, it was amazing as well. I guess that's the charm of this game, you can always come back to it, and if you bring friends along for the ride it can become the best moments of your life. Laughing hysterically with my friends though discord while doing some dumb shit on my friends house is something, special. I say I wanna go back to those days, but you know what? I think I don't really want to. I'm better off making new memories, and enjoying the present. Keep mining folks, and take care

i literally want to cry right now the nostalgia is taking me back to simpler times. it’s 2 am and i’m in bed worrying about the stacks of homework i haven’t completed for tomorrow’s classes and everything keeps piling up on me. it’s hard to be productive and my mental health is honestly just depleting. it’s hard to stay positive. i listen to something like this and start crying because i wish i could go back to these times when i would come home and not have to worry about so much. i would build a house, be scared of monsters, and play with friends and just live my life. this game had affected my childhood in all the best ways and i wish so badly i could return to that time. back when stonecutters and existed and red stone was awful. back when i would play mcpe and not even know about the difference in features between that and computer. back when i would play on a completely flat world that only went down three blocks before bedrock so i would go into creative, put a bunch of resources into a huge block, and then go back to survival to play. back when i felt happy

There are countless experiences relating to this game that give me so much nostalgia it almost drives me to tears. But I’ll always remember one instance that sticks out: When I was in 8th grade, I was just a nerdy and awkward kid, and I was really suffering with self consciousness and social problems. I felt like I didn’t belong at school and talked to nobody. But one thing I had in my life was Minecraft. I played it all the time, sometimes in survival, but mostly on severs, especially Mineplex. I met and talked to all kinds of people there, and it gave me a real sense of community that made me feel safe and welcomed. It was a retreat that I could always count on... and I’ll never forget that...

@@kartonkards maybe its cuz its that feeling of how fast time actually goes. School gets in the way of living out your childhood before being shoved into the reality of being an adult, so you never have any time to ever get back onto something you love, and it hurts. Then finding a job to pay bills gets in the way of going back to those memories to relive them, and then all this pressure about having to pay things and find new things and forgetting the old and live in the new, makes you yearn for the old days when you were just a child. And you could just come home from school or whatever and just play minecraft and let your imagination run wild with things you could do, and things you can build. Stress over work and having the reality of the world makes you want to go back, but you cant get your childhood back. No matter how hard you try. But, its always there. Your dog still sitting where you left it, the house you built still standing there, holding all your accomplishments within it, and keeping you safe from the monsters, the iron, gold, coal, maybe even diamonds are still going to be there. They'll be there, untill the one day you comr back. They'll be there. Waiting. For you to let your imagination run wild all over again. Like you did back in your childhood. "with Rain for sleep and Relaxation" **thunder enters the chat**
@voltsiano1165 жыл бұрын
I think my mind has associated this with relaxation. Everytime I start it up and hear that first rumble of thunder combined with the fade in of the music, I can almost feel my muscles loosening. It's such a great thing. ^^

I'm an adult now, I think part of the sadness this ambience make us feel, is because of past and present. Me and many of my friends with similar memories all trying to pass this hard times, Hard moments and feelings. We were lucky to live in this world as kids without responsibilities and teenage problems. At least we can reconnect with this now, but is quite different and difficult to do.

Words can't even express how much I love this. The thunderstorms over my cozy Minecraft house always relax me. Now I don't have to boot up the game to replicate the feeling. Thanks so much!

You should do one of these but with other songs like Wet Hands, Living Mice, and Sweden. Also, if you replaced the visuals with actual footage of Minecraft rain, it would be perfect.

as the memories of the past only remind a fraction of greatness, the small moments matter. From creating your very first house, to discovering diamonds, the past is long gone. But will never, never in a generation, will be forgotten.

The late nights into early mornings that I spent with this soundtrack were amazing. I didn't care how tired I was, each room in my city hotel would be perfect before I shut my eyes for more than the second it took to blink. The pings when my friends jumped on have slowly become a distant memory 💔
@venerate7094 жыл бұрын
I listened to this last night, and passed out 10 minutes into it. Ever since I was a kid, I haven't been able to fall asleep in silent darkness, so I would either listen to soft music on my old music box and go to sleep, or I'd fall asleep with a light on. Now, I can't fall asleep with lights on, but I still can't sleep in silent darkness. I got this in my recommendations and immediately fell asleep. Thank you so so so much.

This reminds me of the times when I would spend ages trying to find a village just to stand in one of those little empty houses all night looking out of the window bc I didn’t have the materials for a bed, maybe grab a drink or snack and pray my mum didn’t tell me to turn off the Xbox 360 so she could watch her tv shows and just wait to hear the sound of the zombies burning

Every time i hear this i just have to cry. It reminds me of how simple and beautifull life used to be. Just coming home from school and play minecraft with your buddies with a shitty teamspeak connection. And just fuck around in creative mode or steal the diamonds in survival. It used to be so easy. But then we all became a little older and now we are all left with distant memories of a simpler time. I just wish i knew the one day we played together for the last time beforehand. Just to say goodbye.

Thank you for making who I am Minecraft
