im refering to when zombies and skeles pick up dropped items. they dont always give it back when they die. so if i die to a pack of mobs, they pick up my crap and dont drop it again when they die, so its gone for good

Snapshot 12w36a. A snapshot is a sneak peak of what will come out in future updates. You can download and install them. If you want to find out how to get and install them you can go to the Minecraft wiki.

Basically, you can put it a pyramid of mineral blocks (iron, diamond, emerald etc), and it will give nearby players "potion" powers (regeneration, swiftness, etc). The larger the pyramid, the higher range it will have for giving powers. As an added bonus, it sends a large beam of light into the air, making it a great, as it's name suggests, beacon.

On the Wiki it says that the Whither Boss only attacks living mobs, so my thinking is in the next update, if you're wearing a Skeleton Skull or a Zombie Head, possibly with a certain color of armor, it won't attack you until you attack it. And when Whither Boss agro's on an undead mob, they make peace after a few seconds, so that might also happen.

They do snapshots I think every week, and then update the game with all the snapshots in it the update not as often, hope this helps!

It is found on Mojang.com, along with description of what was added. Just download the snapshot, and replace your Minecraft.jar with it, and rename the downloaded snapshot "minecraft.jar".

I don't understand what the beacon does. And I also noticed that the village you are in is made of sand and sandstone. Is this a new feature (or possibly just a feature I did not notice in the recent update)?

on a server, i made a bunch of beacons with pistons turning them on and off, and it was a 24x24 square, or 576 beacons. good luck doing that in survival

Yup, it's a preview of how a future patch, most likely 1.4, will be like. The features added are generally final, but unbalanced things will usually be changed in the actual release.

I good thing that should be implemented in the game is that whatever mob mask you are wearing would make it so you are undetected by that mob, similar to that of the pumpkin and enderman.

So, excluding the crapton of 'block of ...s' This is how you get a pyramid?: 1. Get Wood Pickaxe 2. Get Stone and make stone pickaxe 3. Get Iron and make an Iron pickaxe 4. Collect Diamonds and make diamond pickaxe 5. Collect 13-17 Obsidian and 1 Flint 6. Make Flint & Steel and Nether portal, then light the portal 7. Kill hundreds of Wither Skeletons and get Wither Skeleton Heads. 8. Make Wither (Boss) 9. Kill it and get a Wither/ Nether Star 10. Get 5 Sand and smelt to glass. 11. Craft Beacon

they should make trick or treat bag so if you go to a village you can knock on a villagers door they come out and if you right click on them with your bag it gets filled with candy and maybe either you eat the candy while its in the bag or you put it in a crafting table or in your crafting slot in your inventory you get like 5 pieces of candy witch you can eat and get a enchantment and fills your hunger bar.

there should be somekind of animal that you can hunt and it gives you lots of meat but it is really hard to kill it because it runs away fast. and you could also decorate with any mob heads, not just monsters.

Wither skeletons are not just rare, they are almost impossible to grind properly. They only spawn in new areas. By that I don't only mean you have to find a new nether fortress after you install the snapshot. I mean after you find them, if you die, exit the game, or even walk too far away from the fortress, they will stop spawning there forever, and you have to find another brand new fortress. EACH TIME. I don't expect them to keep it this way. I couldn't imagine it.

We did a map called Survival Parkour Map, made by us, which we fought 1 wither sekelleton with regenerating potion!!!

Step 1. Make an obsidian cage, step. 2, remove a few blocks in the middle. 3. Spawn the wither inside the cage. 4. Kill it.

I personally don't think that it's worth it to defeat dozens of Wither skeletons, kill a mob that is more powerful than the Enderdragon, and then get several stacks of minerals just so that you can build a beacon block and a pyramid. But seriously, this is REALLY COOL. (Not sarcasm)

Dudes, if The Wither is so hard to kill, here's my plan (tested, working): you can spawn the Wither in an OBSIDIAN CAGE, and than QUICKLY kill him with a diamond sword with Smite IV, tottaly works, it cannot harm you, and it dies fast. AND YOU GET YOUR NETHER STAR! YESSSSSSSSS!

I just noticed that the Wither Skeleton has an attack animation.

they spawn in nether fortresses cause the game checks if there is one and will spawn them and they have a 5% chance of droping a head and you need 3 to make a wither and then have to kill him for one star for one beacon
