That’s awesome! Keep practicing. You’ll be doing 4 beds soon. I found that setting FoV to max (90) and turning on hit boxes works best. You might have different results. Thanks for the comment!

@@boomerplayz1 Yeah I run 95 FOV and am using the hit boxes. But its just crazy to me how I went from not even getting it to half health to killing it every time albeit it having to use "more than ideal" beds. This video helped more than any I found lol

8:18 Soooo, You want a small pillar on one side and large one on the other??? Small on East and Large on West, and visa versa for a east/west perch?
@boomerplayz13 жыл бұрын
You don't necessarily need a short pillar, but you definitely want to wait on the side opposite a tall pillar or pillars. The taller the pillar on the side the dragon begins its perch, the higher it will begin the switchbacks, giving you more time to get into position. I've found that when you're waiting in either the north or south and, opposite where you're waiting, one pillar is tall and the other is short (like in this video), the short one causes the dragon to have a low perch approach. I'm sure there's more to it, but I haven't quite figured out that part yet. Does this make sense?

The reason why speedrunners used to tower up was because it was statistically found by a runner named jojoe that the chances that the dragon perches quicker, increases by gaining distance from the end fountain. Besides that I love your editing! Good video. :)

11:43 the delay between when you click and when the click will not be the same everytime because that depends on your mouse but also on when you are whiting the tick

Also when you're at the top of the tower at Y=123 and the dragon fireballs you, since as you said the fireball doesn't actually hit you directly, you can just wait until it does hit you (the breath takes a bit of time to actually activate itself) and tower up 1 block
@goldeer71293 жыл бұрын

Since this is related to the topic of this video, I would really like to share a map that allows us to practice the one-cycle from beggining to end. Emma's map TP us just before the perch of the dragon, and this other map by jojoe77777 TP us right at the end plateform (always at the east, so that when we arrive at the middle we're always facing west, so if we go east/west we know we just have to place the block in front of us etc. this is a thing that could be mentionned in the video^^, as well as the differences between E/W and N/S, N/S being the fastest although it is way harder cause the dragon perches lower, so faster and really have to be at the pillar early to not miss it. That's why unless going for pretty low time, this may be more recommended to do E/W...) I find it really useful because you should definitely practice the whole processus of the end fight before going into runs (otherwise they can be really bad surprises), the end is reset each time, you can custom your inventory (have a boat so that you can stuck the endermen in it if you accidentaly made eye contact with one!) and even see the different phases of the dragon on the scoreboard (can be toggled). The map : kzbin.info?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqblFleTZSMjJJMC1qRzZ3R3VmczI0anZ0ZXdrQXxBQ3Jtc0ttYUtZM19pNWg2Q1dfYVEwbTBXdldNYk5iN2E4U3Y4el82RHpVeWJaRDB4MFZBSzFSQ2NabWF0SU4wX2JqMVpVeU82OW45WXZtRkd1Rm1uOW9seUtMM2VfTTdFNG53N0NHem92T2xnNzN5ZmttaDBFSQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fjojoe77777%2FPerchPractice%2Freleases%2Flatest%2Fdownload%2FPerchPractice.zip

I completely agree! Practicing the end from beginning to end is extremely helpful. Emma's is good for timing and repetition, but practicing the entire process is extremely valuable.

You talked about how annoying it is that the dragon switch side of head but never mentionned that you should go to the side of its head before ! Also, I know you didn't mention diagonal perches to avoid confusion, but this may still have been useful so that people don"t stand between east and south, just a bit to east and think that it's gonna perch east, whereas it's gonna perch diagonal east/south.
@boomerplayz13 жыл бұрын
Dang it! You’re totally right! I have footage related to identifying the side to go to based on which side the head is swinging and I totally forgot about it. I should also at least mention to look out diagonal perches and what might cause one. I’ve been trying to get this video out for a couple days and just screwed up. I really appreciate you pointing this out. I’m going to revise and repost. Thanks!!!

What you think a one-cycle is: Wait a minute or 2, notice the dragon perching, pearl in, one-cycle it. Realistically: Wait 9 fucking minutes for the thing to stop fireballing you. Don't notice the perch because you fell asleep from waiting. Waste your pearl, dragon breaks the bed when you place it. Run around trying to kill endermen. Meanwhile NOW the dragon wants to perch THREE FUCKING TIMES. Then once you finally have the pearl wait SEVEN MORE MINUTES BECAUSE NOW IT CHANGED ITS MIND AND DOESN'T WANT TO PERCH. I hate this stupid fucking game
