I could see "play pigstep" being a fun speedrun challenge for minecraft. At a minimum you would have to craft a jukebox, which requires a diamond, and you would have to reach the nether and do whatever shenanigans are required there to obtain this disk. Most likely It wouldn't take too long as far as challenges go, but would still require skill to complete, and hearing this song at the end of a good run would be a perfect reward.

better yet, do the "play pigstep" while starting in the nether. You can get wood from the fungi and both the diamond and the disc as treasure in bastions and fortresses. More challenging as you begin in the hostile nether and finding diamonds and tools is much more difficult.

For example smash released on december 2018, and xenoblade 2 was released on december 2017, yet sakurai said that even that year of difference was not enough time to put in Rex. Granted it's a song so it's a different scenario but it's possible it may be too new. But they also couldve gone out of their way to add it, who knows.

@@chrislee1774 I honestly think the 1.16 tracks fit well. While the Overworld ambience is nice, calm and peaceful, the Nether is more like an alien world. You aren't welcome there, but it's still gorgeous in its own way. The disc is also an outlier, but i guess you could just say that the piglins have their own music genres that don't exist among humans

It does sound nothing like the current discs but it fits the nether and I like that. Edit: Just wanna say thanks for 5.8k likes. I was never expecting my little opinion to blow up. Anyway, the original Minecraft discs (excluding 11 and 13) are different sounding but they have one thing in common. They are all calm. But Pigstep is dubstep which is not calm which makes sense due to it coming from the nether. I don’t think this is because it’s not made by C418.
