The storyboard value here is really something. Actions scenes are difficult to make, Minecraft duel subtleties are hard to convey, doing both at the same time while also nailing the mood, the energy, and even somehow kinda getting Dream face right pre face reveal is an incredible achievement.

maybe unintentional but a couple things i noticed technos movements are almost heavy and in the moment, hes very aggressive while dreams are more swift and agile (this imo perfectly suits their personalities and playstyles) technos kit consists of a fishing rod, sword and bow as you would in 1.8 and dreams uses 1.9 pvp items (a crossbow, shield and axe), techno can use dreams axe and shield probably symbolizing him beating dream in his own version also dream cuts technos hair with his crown, and in every following sadist dsmp animation featuring techno his hair is shorter :D

Now obviously, he's a minecraft youtuber, so being a hero doesn't really make sense, but i'm just sticking to the analogy. On the other side, I don't believe techno has ever had a major controversy (correct me if im wrong). He died the "hero", at the top of his career. As for them being enemies, i dont think anyone with a mature enough brain ever thought that. It's very obvious that they were friends. i love the detail of how Techno's movement more resembles someone that is a fighter(minimal movements on a attack, quick reactions for defense etc.) as he's known for his mc pvp skills. Opposed to that is Dream who's movements are more along the lines of an athelete(backflips, quick movements and jumps, etc) as he's more known for speedrunning and parkour skills

Dream is attacking slower because he has a cooldown. While Techno is attacking faster because he has no cooldown. You probably already heard this, but as you can see they have the gear of their respective versions. Techno's using the 1.8 Kit(fishing rod, sword, and bow) while Dream's using half of the 1.16 kit(Axe, Crossbow, and Shield. And I say half because the 1.16 kit still has the iconic sword and bow, but he didn't use it) And why are people saying that "this dosen't make sense, they switched between versions, and here, they didn't!!" Like lmao, it's an animation xD

can we just take a moment to appreciate how techno is drawn? i've never seen him drawn that way, but i absolutely love it, from the pig feet to the face, everything is perfect. the way he's drawn perfectly matches the way he fights in the animatic: nimble, agile, and graceful. his perfect slenderness is just beautiful. i love the character design so much in all of SADist's work.

Just wanted to point out that: techno is using 1.8 : swinging sword with no wait, Using a bow and arrow, and fishing rod Dream is using 1.16 : using axe while jumping for crit, Using shield, using crossbow, and having to wait to use his axe, Dream "shift clicking" his shield into his off hand and pulling out his crossbow mid battle. youtubers were questioning what techo was doing so I hope this helped. If I missed anything just let me know! (edit: thanks for all the reply's and dang some of ya'll are toxic but anyway, yes, i do know crits, shields, fishing rods, exist in other versions of minecraft! But also thx for pointing out that they also used their preferred weapons!! KZbin rewind is more of a clown show than it ever was. It constantly gets disliked and every detail is critiqued to high hell because of the past 2 years of rewinds. Personally, I don’t see it being any better this year. If MCYT of any sort were to be put on rewind for 2020, they’d get the same treatment as everyone else, and personally, I don’t want that for techno, dream, or any other MCYT
