I believe they pollinate using a lapis block. For breeding any flower.

Thanks for this. I used to use a mod called ‘More Chickens’ to do material farming because I found bee mods like this very complicated and confusing (still kinda complicated but you did a great job explaining it), but the mod is bugged and the Ghast Tear chicken is unobtainable and therefore Netherite Scrap chicken is unobtainable 🤷‍♀️ I don’t necessarily need that chicken but this mod is already pretty jank and I’m tired of messing with it, so this mod should do well as a replacement. Also kinda cool that if you have Ice and Fire, you can turn Draconic Bee spawn eggs into Dragonsteel bee eggs, I’m not gonna do that because it’s the ultimate lazy but still neat 😂

I have a problem that most of my bees are no longer producing honey combs, stunting my progress completely. These are not solitary bees but hive bees. Specifically my Iron, Redstone, Copper, Tin and lead bees are producing nothing

Hey I have an issues, I got 6 diamond bees with 2 advanced bee hive but they dont produce anything even if they hop into the hive from time to time. I displayed flowers all around... any clues?

Try looking at the bee whilst sneaking to get a tooltip to pop up with information about the bee, it should state what they eat. Not all bees need flowers, some need the resources they are named after - redstone bees need a redstone block nearby for example.

Also if you find a village, theres a big enough chance that you will find sturdy bee cage, and unlike normal "bee cage" which have 1 durability, "sturdy bee cage have infinite durability, so it will be a HUGE help if you have two ,or at least one

idk if my game is bugged or something but my bees are doing literally nothing. I've basically identically replicated 3 separate ways I've seen to build a contained bee farm, and none of it is working. they just fly into a corner of the building forever, and every once in a while go sit in the hive for a bit and produce exactly nothing

My advanced oak hives don't have any upgrade slots at all.. This is on 1.19.2 :( But very nice guide! nvm.. you need to add an expansion box for the upgrades to show and be used :P

So do I have to take wild bees from nests around the world and get them to breed with vanilla bees to get them to be useful? most of these wont go into the hives I've built so I'm missing a step or something

Mods is the only way. Mekanism is my favorite energy related mod but it's a bit complex, it does have some simple power generators that you could use though
