The reason you were going to the wrong dimension is that when you select what teleporter you are going to go through, it switches it back to the previously loaded id. So when you clicked id 15 first, then the teleporter, it switched it back to id 13. Just look at the id after he selects the teleporter... 24:08

For the essence overflow: if you can check how full the drum or the ender tank is with a comparator, you can use that redstone signal to activate a liquiduct to the liquid trash can.

Dang, that's actually running really well! I respect you a lot more for not just going for the obvious and boring crafting exploit. You could probably improve the lagginess of your mob spawner by having more grinders further up the column, to kill the animated blocks quicker and thereby reducing the number of mobs you have to deal with at any given time.

its mostly the sewer grates and bottles. 20 bottles breaking has more lag then all the spawners. he breaks 45 bottles a second. 75% id say is the bottles easy. so some other way to get xp/essence in vast quantities would be better, could double spawners, cut xp farmers, and be less laggy.

Hey Ergo, the transmutation table is basically a storage system which stores all your items as an EMC value which you can therefore transform into any other item, for more convenience :). It's awesome! You're awesome, too!! Have a great day :D.
@hxhhhx
@hxhhhx 6 жыл бұрын
To add onto this, the transmutation table has no storage limit because it converts items to EMC, which can be converted back as needed. It's one of the most powerful items in any modpack, IMHO.

Hi Etho, quick suggestion about the arena scoring in Battle Bane! Instead of awarding points based on kills or damage, why not use objectives? It's a fairly significant change, but hear me out. The way I would implement it would be to give each team an object to protect, lets call it a "monument" for now. This could be a block, or even better a mob such as a villager. The goal of each team would be to destroy (or kill) each of the other teams monuments. At the end of the arena battle, the teams with surviving monuments gain a point (with the possibility of giving a bonus point to teams who destroy monuments). This would encourage players to go out and fight to destroy the other team's monuments, and also require them to leave some players at home to protect their own, which adds quite a bit of strategy to the arena fights. Do you send your best equipped and most talented pvpers out, or make them stay and protect? Another element you would probably want to add is that your entire team is killed if your monument is destroyed. This would make sure that you couldn't go all out attack and take out the other monuments once yours gets destroyed, which wouldn't be very fair if you didn't have a monument to protect but all the other teams did. It would also add an interesting mechanic, because having your monument destroyed and losing all of your gear would be a pretty significant hit to your team. One issue I see with this idea is that a team may choose to hold everybody back to defend their monument if they were up on points in later rounds, so that they would guarantee to get a point and stay in the lead. A way of combatting this could be by spawning powerful items in the middle of the map, to encourage players to leave their bases and punish them for staying by giving good items to the other teams. Another way of combatting this would be to give a bonus point to any teams that destroy or kill monuments, as I mentioned earlier.

Etho, after fighting the chaos dragon for fun, it can be a pain to get the chaos shards. Instead, make the 'world breaker'. Its a pickaxe that can convert to a hammer with fortune X. You can mine straight to the core of a chaos island and mine the shard without having to fight the chaos dragon. This gives you more shards per island rather than 1.
@buckwheatcat216

i thought it was 4 per core or 16 if u are using the world breaker with its fortune 10 perk active , still a massive increase

The benefits of the transmutation table are that you don't need to worry about accidentally using up your last item. You can store a lot of emc in the table and save on space in your system by putting things into the table to be stored. When the octuple cobblestone disappeared that wasn't because it was forgotten, that was because you didn't have enough EMC to create one. Love your show, good luck.

Didn't you have to make sextuples so you would use your EMC efficiently? If you do septuples then there has to be a ton of wasted EMC. This would mean that your setup might actually be good enought if not for this mistake.
@misssniperella
@misssniperella 6 жыл бұрын
Progenitus5 pretty sure the reason he stopped at septuple is because going to sextuple slowed it down too much, because the system would need to take longer to transfer the blocks of sextuple vs the rate of decrafting.
@Riclamin_
@Riclamin_ 6 жыл бұрын
Azure Flare but why not use multiple crafters to decraft the septuples? 4 crafters are probablu able to keep up with the output of septuples. And I believe one sixtuple was as efficient as a septuple, as all the extra emc would be wasted anyways. You could always, as a backup, overflow the extra septuples you cant keep up with to the energycondensers. So the system doesnt jam.
@Logres6
@Logres6 6 жыл бұрын
He can add 2 more crafters, one for each side. That would fix it.
@Muskar2
@Muskar2 6 жыл бұрын
Indeed, but the thesis seemed to be that the uncrafting speed would create bottlenecks
@Tcj333
@Tcj333 6 жыл бұрын
Muskar If the EMC of the current output is being wasted, he'd be getting up to 9x his current output at the price of a single additional process. If there's a bottleneck it would be the output of the crafter, unless this identical process took 9x longer then the crafting speed is irrelevant.

Etho, if you use the Ender-Thermic Pump in an Essence RFTools Dimension, you won't have to deal with flowing liquid updates. The Ender-Thermic Pump replaces the liquid with cobblestone blocks specifically to avoid unnecessary lag. It would replace the essence liquid source blocks one by one, and only loads the chunk it is currently pumping from. The Extra Utilities pump and quarry machines are actually very good about lag, both only loading the chunk it's working in and replacing mined blocks to avoid unnecessary updates.

The transmutation tablet is also a bit like an ender chest, in that the EMC you store in it is linked to your player. You can store (to my knowledge) an infinite amount of EMC inside, and pull it out in any form you are able, from any tablet in the world. Additionally, there's a hand-held one that doesn't need to be placed down, making it even a little more convenient.

"It says 69..." "Everybody's favourite number..." And thats why I watch Etho. Because he cracks jokes. Also Etho, you can try using Thermal Dynamics' Super Laminar Fluiduct with a Resonant servo. It should keep up, and you can tell it to go to the closest liquid container first, which allows you to void excess essence. The Super Laminar Fluiduct has limitless transfer rate, so the pumping rate of the servo is the bottleneck there.

Etho to farm use the horn from botania to autoharvest then use a vacuum hopper to colect it. Use the actuator thing to activate the horn

The Table has some advantages and some disadvantages. The main disadvantage is that it has zero automation of any kind. The advantage is that you can just dump a bunch of stuff in it and whenever you need it, you can just pull it out without worrying about keeping spares or putting them in the condensers. It also has a portable version (tablet) (it's a pretty tough craft but should be doable). It is linked with your table and all other tables (it's like an ender chest, it's player data, not block data, so you don't have to worry about breaking it or whatever). You can store a couple billion EMC there (forget the hard limit, I think it it's a 32-bit int = 2^31-1 = ~2 billion) and then just pull out whatever you need whenever you need it without waiting for crafting or anything. It's really convenient. The _other_ advantage is that there is an item called the Tome of Knowledge, which is really hard to craft, but once you do, you can 'learn it' to learn _everything in the game with EMC._ This includes things you don't have yet. Once you learn something, it's learned forever (unless you unlearn it deliberately, for which you need a copy of the item so it's not an issue if you do it on accident). Note, if you don't have enough EMC for something, it won't show up. Also, you can put stuff in the other slots of the table to learn it without destroying it. This could be valuable with tools or if you just don't want to have to find it again and you only need 1 right now.

Etho another way of doing everything that will still take some time is to generate a all emerald world, set up a quarry and send those items straight to the system you have underneath the spawners so it would use both emeralds and the septuple blocks

He also keeps avoiding to name the dimensions, instead of just leaving them as "id X" so he keeps forgetting which is which. That mod doesn't seem to be Etho-friendly.

Back in Ep #80 9:07 you animated a block of Essence and it dropped essence, so you should just spawn those Essence mobs to get it.

Suggestions: 1. Ender tanks do not need cables. The dial on the front allows the top and bottom to auto-insert or extract. 2. Colour your ender tanks. (3 cactus green for essence) 3. Pipettes drain liquid from some things (not sure about barrels).
