Could just use a dummy item, and trash them at the end of the recipe like the blue book. Of course he'll need something that isn't in the system. What i have in mind is the recipe for the final item require 8ingredients+a dummy. To craft the dummy(the dummy doesn't need to be craftable, it is just used to import more ingredients), make a recipe that use 8 more and another dummy, etc. At each step, import one dummy into ME from a chest/cache. Maybe use aether dirt/cobble/wood items/tools. The dummies don't need to be craftable/crafted, they just need to be imported from outside the system.

If you're wondering what a half death is, read this before commenting to ask. I use a special notation that allows for half deaths. Specifically, if you reload a backup already dead, then that death only counts as half. It's actually pretty important to distinguish between the dying and the death. While dying allows Etho to execute himself, the death allows Etho to place his head on the wall. So if the wall requires a head, the death of Etho could have been done at some point in the past, and just held until that moment. For instance, let's say there are two deaths: one that requires death, and another that only requires dying. Individually, these deaths would both require a full death. But if these deaths were collected one after the other, then the backup could be reloaded after the former, and held all the way through to the next death to be used in the latter. In this manner, these deaths together would only use 1 death, whereas they would take 2 deaths if done individually. So during a let's play, you would round these half deaths down, but on a death-by-death basis you would round them up.

A way for auto crafting that allows more than one item to be automated is to realise that the crafting doesn’t need to be done in a sequence. For example, here we just need 4 unique items (which can be done very easily if ae2 recipes can read nbt data) and have the essential singularity recipe simply be these 4 items. and have the crafting recipe for each of the unique item be “put these 9 singularities into the chest.” You then detect when a singularity is placed in the chest and put the corresponding unique item into the system. The final step where the system goes to craft the essential singularity allows you take up the unique items from the system again. The only problem would be if the system tried to craft multiple of the same unique item in a row but this can be avoided by having the system craft one essential singularity at a time using the same tricked he used to automate the ruin farm.

The TileChaosCrystal class (the class that contains the code for the chaos crystal tileentity) has code in place that checks if the crystal has been moved by unintended means (cardboard box, teleposer, frames, etc.). It accomplishes this by hashing its location and dimensionID every tick, and checking that against the hash that the crystal was initialized with. If the two hashes differ, the tileentity sets its containing block to air and destroys itself. This check is also performed within the detonate() method, and aborts the detonation if the hash check fails. In theory, this system would work properly, however, it appears that the hash is never initialized if the crystal is placed manually, and defaults to 0. This doesn't happen when the crystal is placed by worldgen, likely due to the worldgen code manually initializing the hash upon spawning the crystal. Thus, if the crystal is placed manually, it will never last for more than a tick, unless the calculated location hash just so happens to also be 0. (Sidenote: the class for the chaos crystal block has the vast majority of the anti-tomfoolery code, which, among other things, applies Float.MAX_VALUE damage to the player that placed it. It will also apply Float.MAX_VALUE damage to any players in a 3 block radius of the crystal that happen to be holding either item.blockMover, tile.CarboardBox, or item.WandCasting. The damage source used for this is set to damage creative players, ignore armor, and apply absolute damage (whatever that means). The creative mode check is also within the block class, and applies Float.MAX_VALUE damage to the placer, instantly killing it.

@yaksher6 жыл бұрын
You should be able to use any useless item (item you don't already have in the system) for your crafting set up. I'll just use numbers for item names, but you'll just have to pick arbitrary items (so long as you won't already have them in your system, again) for each one. Here's what you'd do: You have a system where the extreme crafting items go in the extreme crafting table and everything else goes to a special 'crafting' system which takes the place of the crafter in your set up. Rather than actually crafting anything, however it just looks what item came in, stores it or voids it, and spits out a specific other kind of item. So basically, if item 1 goes into the 'system', it looks that it got an item 1 (you can do this however you want, this can be done with vanilla mechanics for example) and puts an item 2 into the output from a storage. The 'system' will need to have storage for all the items, so they should ideally be easy to craft for simplicity (and you'll have a separate small ME system to handle making them). So basically, instead of a crafter crafting each book into the next one, you have a special system which 'upgrades' the items that go in to the next one in the sequence and use this the exact same way.

Too many comments to check if it's been posted already, but -272.something means you're in the -273 block. The number in the brackets behind the coordinate tells you the block number. I have a suggestion for the eternal singularities- dummy items. I heard about this one on reddit when trying to figure out quantum entangled singularities from AE2 and it works quite well albeit a bit slow. The problems are different but the solutions are similar so this should work for you. It's also quite similar to the tinkers book thing but it has a simpler side to it. Basically, find an item that you have so much of that you would never run out, and find another item that can be exclusively crafted from that one item. That is your dummy item. I'll explain the system here: So you need 5 recipes to make the eternal singularity. Now, since I think there are autochisels in 1.7, make one of those and make a recipe where you tell your ME system "If you give me 5 chiseled blocks (all of different types but ideally they would be ugly so therefore useless) It'll make one eternal singularity. From there the solutions differ a bit- the way I did it (that was horribly inefficient and frequently caused problems) was basically to use the dummy items in place of the actual item and use a comparator and level emitter to make use of the stuff, but for you all you would have to do would be to make a system very similar to your current one with tinkers books but with chisels instead. So let's say 7 singularities and 1 block of choice makes one ugly block of choice, where the block of choice goes into the auto chisel and is made into the ugly block of choice and the singularities are stored in the dire autocrafting table for further use. So then repeat four more times, and make the 5 different ugly blocks of choice make 1 eternal singularity, test to see if all 5 are in the crafting area, and immediately trash them all and let the eternal singularity out of the table. The idea is convoluted so I'm impressed if you read and understood that but the concept is there.

After that last singularity automatization, I spent ten minutes explaining to my partner WHY Etho is a Minecraft genius. XD You, sir, just BROKE KAPPA MODE. Kudos!
@Pluneto6 жыл бұрын
There was a much simpler solution. Just have all of the required items inside the crafting table except on of them. Then just make that one item into a recipe for the item you're making. Since the item won't craft unless you have all items in the crafting table, this won't pose a problem.
@TheDailyDrew6 жыл бұрын
Then he has to manually put in all the other items... This way, it's all automatic.
@Pluneto6 жыл бұрын
TheDailyDrew no not necessarily, he can use rationing pipes for that.
@TheDailyDrew6 жыл бұрын
Ah! I didn't consider additional pipes. That is a clever idea.
@CalaCrisp886 жыл бұрын
Can the pipes automatically send specific items to the table if they're not explicitly part of the recipe, only when that particular recipe is selected? I don't know much about the mods, but it sounds to me like you'd need a separate table for each recipe, each constantly being fed with all the different items for one specific recipe.
@TheDailyDrew6 жыл бұрын
I think the idea is that you'd use filters on rationing pipes to always have 1 of every item in the table already except for the item you use in the recipe. When you go to craft, the system only needs to plug the missing item into the table and the end result would get crafted up. The rationing pipes would then automatically repopulate the table. Because you can put more items in each pipe's filter, this would be pretty easy to set up and wouldn't require the roundabout method that Etho is using.

There is no direct crafting recipe for the name-press, you just right-click with either of the two quartz cutting knifes and you can convert an iron-ingot into a namepress. You then put that into an inscriber and it will do the same as renaming with an anvil does, but with one fixed name, you put into the namepress when creating it. To note here is also, that renaming ae2 interfaces will show that name in the interface terminal instead of the first adjacent machine it found on the interface. Great episode as always, really getting close to finishing up

@none.8926 жыл бұрын
Bump
@kalahatze6 жыл бұрын
That won't work because it takes 9 cobble to make a compressed cobble, 9 compressed to make a double compressed, etc. so it would take up the entire grid and there'd be no space for the singularities.
@none.8926 жыл бұрын
Kalahatze Why not do it in reverse?
@janrace64666 жыл бұрын
I believe you can input multiples of an item into one slot in an ME processing recipe (i.e. eight different kinds of singularities and a stack of nine cobblestone), so it should be fine. I'm not sure though.

Cameron Moisan That would work, I didn't think of that.

Etho! Good to see you, buddy! :) This entire episode is game mechanics exploitation insanity... I love it! Thank you for the episode and I hope you have a fantastic day! :)

I used this trick that stores the explosion in a drive to get an explosion in someone's base 😂 Edit: you can end the series with this

This is my favorite series by Etho. It’s sad to hear that there’s only a couple more episodes left in the series, but hey it’s been one hell of a ride!

So when this series end is it going to end alongside your channel as a whole because I'd be very VERY sad if that happens. You're my favorite creator been watching for over 5 years
@kamronwatchorn11176 жыл бұрын
Quibfist why would his Channel end
@shadowbunny78926 жыл бұрын
Very unlikely. He'll probably just pick up a couple more series to slot into where Ozone was. We'll probably get the vanilla series a little more often. After some months we could even get a new modpack, who knows. If we're really lucky maybe an increase in some other games.

Etho just started on Foolcraft 3 and Hermitcraft 6 might be right around the corner, so I think Etho has enough series to replace PO2, besides continuing his LP world and the battle bane project.

Etho, I thought your method for auto-crafting the eternal singularities was so creative and great! I think that it would be much simpler however, if you used multiple item translocators with diamond upgrades on - the diamond upgrade on the receiving side can limit the amount of an item the block accepts - so that you can limit the auto-crafter to a stack of each item, so things don't get all messed up. Each translocator can do 9 items so you would need 4 sets of translocators to do a single recipe. Although this is tedious, it would allow for many recipes as you aren't limited by the tinkers book method, and I'm sure you could come up with a compact way of doing it. Great video etho, I'm really going to miss your Project Ozone 2 series when it ends, been my favourite series of yours by far!

I don't think people fully appreciate how brilliant the name "Taxes" was. Always getting in the way but can really save your life in the long run.
