Lovely church design. I've just 'adapted it' for use in my first village - on console, no mods or textures of course, so very heavily adapted! - and it's not turned out bad. Perfect size for being the focal point for my little village...and now I shall explore all your other vids to see if there's more I can adapt! ;)

Good tutorial - a little hard to follow in places due to me using vanilla, and jumping back and forth a bit in the video. I'm constructing a medieval town on a vanilla server, so I have to use vanilla blocks, which is kind of tricky since modded blocks don't exist, and the server uses the default vanilla textures.

Thanks for this, I have a survival island which spawns with a village, so I built this and up at the front where the cross window is located, I built my nether portal so you walk into the "purple cross", and I locked 4 clerics in place around it: since clerics give you glow stone they must be dabblers in the nether, so why not be praying to open a portal? 8) Although if I could make the opening look like a Cthulhu head coming out of the wall, that would be ideal!

I love it, yet Im trying to build this is vanilla Minecraft. And this is a really big struggle just because I don't have your cobblestone bricks for that nice touch. I feel like those are the path stones but I can't use them. Also please try to mention in future videos what your using to build. Like stuff we might not want to use or stuff we might not have please

Briony T.C it is a method known as the meta-cycler/biome cycler. Metadatas were a system used in 1.7 and removed in 1.8. I am working on building up our popularity so that maybe one day, mojang will listen and bring back a user friendly system that adds in many more blocks to the game.

Great video, really like the way you show your building and thought process. You could improve in the latter by maybe doing a tutorial from scratch. So just figure out what you are going to build before hand and do it in a 30 min time span on video. Showing all stages of your building and thought behind it!

love the church and you inspired me to buy minecraft, I'm currently building a victorian prison, and noticed you use the conquest of the sun shader. I've looked into it and I have the conquest downloaded already and optifine. I've looked at downloading the conquest of the sun shader but they say they ain't compatible with optifine. is there any way of getting over this? sorry. Im a noob and rubbish with downloading things 😳

+john MIF we use what is called metadatas and biome specific textures. The easiest way to join and see for yourself is download the ravand.org/launcher and join us on the server. There you can ask your questions and get more accustomed to the blocks etc. Make sure you are on 1.7.10 minecraft however, very important.

+Harte Craft the everything on everything plugin, this plugin is specific to ravand.org, but there are other plugins out there of similar nature, I unfortunetly am not sure of the names.

I am playing on creative on Xbox so some of these blocks weren't available to me. Instead of the lit furnaces in the middle I dug 2 down and did a redstone torch with a redstone lamp on top so there was light and you could walk down the middle.

Tasos Papageorgiou you need to have optifine installed. Make sure you use the 1.7 version of conquest, not the 1.8 version. You need to be in minecraft 1.7.10 for all this to work.

I am currently rebuilding this church. It may be a rookie question, but for me the resource pack is not doing the uhmm.. texture changes around the edges of blocks (as in the corners of the tower). Do I need to change some options? I am playing the life in the woods modpack, 1.7.10, if that helps...

ah yes, I use what are known as metadatas, it is rather complicated to explain but requires quite abit of toying around with your client to use for yourself. These extra blocks are so far only availiable in creative mode, but the best way to access these extra blocks is install the conquest mod. www.planetminecraft.com/mod/18-conquest-mod---all-the-features-from-17-and-more-forge-189/

Tri Fax as I can't reply to you post I type response and hope you find it. I am using a plugin called the metacycler and biomecycler plugins on the ravand.org server. Metadatas are only accessible on 1.7.10 minecraft.

I just finished building it on my survival island, maybe once the Conquest pack is updated to 1.14.4 I'll try it, using Chroma Hills for now. I had a stack of bamboo scaffolding, which makes it a lot easier to move around the build.
