multiple hunters mined full diamond and had spare diamonds for other players, the naked players that kept rushing me stopped me from being able to progress while others got gear, it worked quite well i have to give them some credit, i just abused lava and piercing bows which was insanely op in the nether

It isn't staged. The only reason it seems as though this seed is insanely OP is because that's what you would have to have to survive. I'm sure there are countless other attempts of this challenge where the spawn was not amazing, so he didn't make it far. We're just seeing the best possible scenario, which is what you have to get to reach the end.
