The reason paintings do not move with the train is due to the fact that a painting is an enttity (like a player animal mob....) This is because of the random images shown. a block can not inherit that ability. also it shows up in the /summonn list wich means its defently an entity.

Pretty much. Clone only clones blocks, never entites. Cloning entites is actually quite a bad idea. Do it to some in MCEdit and they'll all end up with the same UUID and things go a bit weird then!

To solve the issue with the paintings and item frames in the train, because they are entities rather than blocks, they can be teleported at the same time as the player. I hope this helps :)

Good suggestion. However, as it is cloned from an original point, sadly, you can't duplicate the entities, only move them. As the teleporting is a bit rough too because of how intensive this is, it's possible pictures could be moved into a position the train isn't currently at and they'd pop off the walls. Otherwise, this would be ideal.

hey, Im working on a moscow map a while and I wanted a subway with different lines in different directions so I experimented a little bit with redstone and stuff.. I thought i found the perfect trick to make a train that moves but u couldnt actually drive with is it was just a visual effekt not a physical but never mind than I found your video and the idea of it is very good :) Maybe we could work on a map or something to make this stuff playable for normal minecraft players when they download the map or play on a server on this map :) Good work! love it

Hopefully it'll come. I'm hoping some changes in the current snapshot are just bugs that will get cleared up, as it totally breaks the door opening and closing on the trains from redstone bugs.

+AvengedSevenfold9000 It uses cloning to move an object to a wither skull then move the skull and repeat. You need to use armor stands in the latest versions.

Yes, it's based on the London Underground. It's just named subway on the video as more people understand subway than underground.

The feature it used; wither skulls; has just been deemed as being a bug and fixed. So now it won't work until I rebuild various parts to work around that.

Why don't Wither Skulls work? Is it due to outdated version of Vanilla Minecraft? And Did you use World Edit to build the Tunnel and Station?

+BlazeGaming3DMC PE Wither Skulls were used extensively and were part of the reason Armor Stands got added. Once they did and had a marker feature, tracking Wither Skulls was removed. Using marker Armor Stands will work fine and are more reliable too now.

Pretty much. That's because it is just running on a clock and a scoreboard timer. Doesn't need many command blocks to do that.

Rub Zana The original plan was for multiple trains on 2 different lines. Cloning this much area constantly would lag a server to hell most likely if you had multiple trains running. I've not tested this lately, so I'm hoping the glitches are gone and it is more reliable now. Might even release it soon if I can get that sorted.

It is a region teleport. Teleports everyone in that region up and forward one block, while running on a clock.

+Siena Taylor I clone the position of a train to a constantly moving Wither Skull (needs to be an Armor Stand now). It all runs from a counting clock. The new command blocks coming in 1.9 will make this work even better!

I used wither skulls which are invisible. I then cloned relative to the skull. You just then move the skull and run the clone command again. There isn't a download though as redstone was VERY buggy in the snapshots. I've not checked if the latest fix for redstone fixes the problems with this yet.
