When I saw how they edited the yogscast's video, it just puts into perspective how much talent these guys have (or how little the yogscast's team of editors/animators/graphics artists do).. hands down my favourite channel on KZbin.

Nowadays yes. Keep in mind that this was recorded about a year ago, when Hat Films just joined Yogscast, and they didn't know who went well with them. Besides, this is mostly a promo for HF, so it only makes sense they put the most popular yogscaster on their team :D

Bringing Hatfilms on board has certainly leveled up the video editing quality for the Yogs. I was ridiculously happy to see the Hatfilms stamp on the cam switch icon thingies, they are awesome. Really, I was just watching the corner for a bit to watch them pop up and grinning like an idiot. I might actually have to rewatch because I really wasn't concerntrating. Oh and 'Kermit the frog is not sorry', class ;)

In case you weren't aware, "CTE" in Hat Films parlance is short for "Chris Trott Error". He is capable of incredible feats in several games, but he almost always screws himself over by executing some phenomenal bungle of one sort or another. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in the Worms series...I highly recommend it!

It's a mutual support thing. All the Yogscasters have their own style, their own channels and run their own independent series, separate from one another, as well as teaming up. They all do their own thing and control the content of their own channels - and I can't see that Hat Films won't be doing exactly the same as well. But, being under the umbrella of "the Yogscast family", they can all support each other. (Case in point: The Yogscast perspective was edited by Hat Films.)

Technically they are both part of Polaris, but Hat Films have agreed to be part of the "Yogscast Team," and so they are now a "resource" for the Yogscast in return for the additional publicity.

Personally talked with Ross at i49. Joining yogscast [Polaris] will not effect Hatfilms negatively, it simply means there will be more colabs and they have access to more equipment and such.

Hatfilms may now be officially part of the Yogscast, but they have said that the only things that's changed is more colabs with them! They're still gonna be the three British guys from the internet with the awesome editing skills. Just with more colabs with the Yogscast, and that should boost their sub rate.

I really hate it when subscribers think they can tell a channel's owners what they should and shouldn't be doing. Hatfilms can join whoever they want to join after putting in all the hard work they have. so what they do one series every couple of weeks with Simon and Lewis and a few videos with Strippin. If you don't like thses co-labs, there is an easy option. Don't watch them! You don't have to watch every video in your channel stream you know... Keep up the good work guys!

Recently Hat Films joined the Yogscast. This was announced on stage at i49 and was confirmed on the Hat Films twitter account and also on their AMA on the hatfilms subreddit. So yeah - Hat Films ARE a part of Yogscast, technically. Though they also said they'd keep going as usual with no changes, only more collaborations - so it makes no real difference really, other than allowing the Hat guys to get more exposure and a bigger audience which can only be a good thing, right? :)
