Minecraft: Ultimate Super Smelter Tutorial (how to build)

In this Minecraft Tutorial I'll show you how to create the Ultimate Super Smelter! This thing is efficient while also being aesthetically pleasing, being able to smelt an entire stack of items in only 45 seconds! The build encases two split super smelters, so you can keep items separated or use both sides for a single type of item for double the speed.

Idk if 0-tick farms are still a thing, but when it was, I had a smelter setup that could do a full stack in 8 seconds fueled by two 0-tick bamboo farms.

For anyone that was having trouble with the end powered rails just place two temporary blocks in front then place rails on top of the block they should go straight then destroy the temporary block😊👍

If the 2 starting rails keep connecting, Break the blocks behind them and connect them to normal rails, then replace the rails with the blocks.

For me in 1.20.1 Java edition the fuel minecarft was getting stuck in the corners. I had to extend the building by one on each end to get the carts to work. I hope this comment can save some people work by fixing it early on. :D

Quick tip: if you don’t see a taiga biome to get spruce wood from, you can use the wood that you see in the area, like oak, birch, dark oak, acacia, or nether variants of wood, (crimson and warped.) which are found in the nether.

Update: I built this in my survival world, and had to change the fence and glass block combo to walls/panes. Glass blocks were causing minecart to stop in the corner by the U-turn.

ok so anyone on bedrock i figured out a way to get the power rails from connecting all your gonna do is break the two stripped blocks under the chest then place some rails and then place the powered rails and the all you gotta do is put the logs back

I would recomend swapping the hoper minecarts with chest minecarts if your on bedrock cause the top hoper minecarts ends up dumping the material in the bottom one

Ok so I love this but here are a few things I needed to change that some people are having issues with in the comments as well. So the connecting rails I converted it into one combined system. So one lever and rail for fuel and one for items. The second thing I did was dig a one deep trench around the furnaces to access the fuel hoppers under the rails for anything that fell during construction. I kept the other two chests in place just covered them with trap doors like in the rear for some extra fuel storage. Aesthetically I added a 4x4 trap door chimney on the roof. Thanks for the build. It works great :)

Had to add extra power rails for the fuel line, and replace the glass for just fenses, as the cart did get stuck, however, I have an issue where quite a bit of the ore/stone/sand etc. that is being dropped by the input hoppercart is being picked up by the fuel hopper.. so it ends up clogging the fuel hoppers with items that is suppose to be smelted, and I have tripple checked that I haven't put them into the wrong input chest.

I built this in a creative version of my survival world, only did one side so I knew how to do it, for some reason it doesn't return all of the ore after smelting, like my first run, out of a stack of iron, I got 52 back, on my second, I got 55, I looked in everything and the rest is nowhere to be found, the iron just got sent to the shadow realm apparently, Im unsure if it's a design problem but everything seems to be working fine, I've no clue what happened

Anyone have tips to prevent the hopper minecarts from getting stuck on eachother and not making it back to their start? It's not a massive deal but it's been happening more frequently and wasn't sure if it's just a me problem. Farm still works wonderfully, just a slight annoyance. They run into eachother on the corners sometimes and then are going to slow to get to the powered rails. Edit: nevermind. Should have read the comments, switched to Glass panes and will see if that fixed it.

Instead of glass panes I just put in another set of spruce fences, it worked out nicely and doesn’t have the gap left behind from the glass panes

Of course! Just extend the sides of the building to account for more furnaces and just extend the furnaces out. Keep in mind you'll have to add more powered rails & make sure their power source isn't touching a hopper or it won't "hop"? lol

Destroy the blocks with the lever then make a loop of rails, once it’s connected break the two trails then put the blocks and levers back

@joshmarion3445 I also found it was worse I think when I used lava buckets as a fuel because even though they burn longer they don't stack so I had to fill it more often, but its been a while since I used it

Do the same as u did on the first row (say the first row is done and ur on the 2nd row place the rails etc as u did in the first so the first rail u place connects to one on the first row place a rail next to the one on the 2nd row it should be fine)
