10:00 The reason would be because you can add more sockets to already affixed items, so you don't need to re-roll for more sockets, and get one more with the advanced socketing item than the base roll for sockets can get.

the real reason why is because you can roll more affixes on an item without sockets to get the best gear, then socket it afterwords for more overall power

1:48 "i doesnt seem to be attack speed that contributes" sword from cataclysm "the incinerater" is considered a heavy weapon although in the game files its catagorised as a sword the means the ballast gems give 13ad instead of the normal 10ad to light weapons altough it currently seems to be bugged since when the sword is reforged it always changes the attack speed to a swords highest base attack speed value of 0.6 seconds (this varies alot in the forge since some of the forge improvements are: More Durability, 3-4 (As a mythic reforge) abilites (including Socetet(1-3) and possibly more damage lower attack speed and more attack reach) the extra damage with 3 ballast gems being a 9ad diffrence between light and heavy weapons doesnt seem to count so even though it says "Ballast gem: +13 attack damage" it only counts as 10 this isnt show in the tooltip of the weapons and even the base minecraft feature which at the bottom of the screen says Incinerater.......... 1.2 attack speed 14 attack damage and 5 Entity reach when reforged it shows the stats that have been changed by the forge itself or are obove normal with the incinerator having a yellow text (highlighted) saying "Entity reach 5" when reforged if the reforge then increases the attack damage it says Attack damage (20-27) in a highlighted yellow text :)

Back on 1.16.5 it wasn't as complex, at least when it comes to affixes. You just had your books and could get much more stuff with them. Oh and you didn't have to throw away the item if you wanted to get the effect. It was easier, but extreeeemly op. To understand, at one moment I had a fire dragonsteel sword with: Sharpness XI, Fire Aspect VII, attack speed was 4 (as fast as a damn fist), it had +10 cold and +10 dire damage, critical strike chance was 99% and the critical damage was +100%. In the end, the DPS was uuh 500 hp. Yes. 500 dps. I was slaying Tier 4 dragons in two seconds, maybe less. And it got really boring, as I was basically one-shotting anything. There also was an OP axe that could kill anything in a few hits thx to its ridiculous effects, but I don't remember it properly

For compatibility reasons, I use a modpack in version 1.12.2 and I have a question about the compatibility of Apotheosis with other mods. My more specific questions are involving Tinkers, Blood Magic and Thaumcraft, if I can use the enchantment and gem system with weapons and armor from these mods. Thank you.

I'm happy you like the video! Unfortunately not in apotheosis, some modpacks have the disenchanter but the only block in all the mods 9 is the disenchanter from the create mod. Alternatively, if you're playing in a modpack that has them, you could equip your sword with scavenger 3 which allows mobs to drop more items and then pair that up with knowledge of the ages 3 which turns mob drops into xp and add xp boost as well as having insight on your armor. It's not exactly moving enchantments, but you'll have so much xp that you could always afford to grindstone and re-enchant.

Make sure it has empty sockets to add it .. usually it has an empty socket if it has an long ass apotheosis name. You can make an piece have a socket by putting it the best reforaging table and having sgils and materials with it ..

make sure you have gem dust and the appropriate upgrade material such as god pearls or arcane sands in the gum cutting table (you need 2 of the same gems to upgrade them)
