For the block/slab between each villager, if you reverse them (block on bottom, slab on top), the villagers can make eye contact with each other for gossip. (they spread good news about you when you cure them, furthering the discounts)

Tried this build out today after hours of anticipation for it. I ended up drowning ALL my villagers after I gotten a hall built, stations ready, beds, and everything else. This tutorial is (IMI) not workable. Posting this comment on version 1.19.8 on May 29th.

Love that this uses water rather than pistons, my nearest swamp in about 3000 blocks away and I don't want to do an underground slime farm in the nearest slime chunk. I thought about doing EyecraftMC's zombification factory outside the hall but I prefer to have it "all-in-one" despite the constant annoying zombie noises but once the trades are locked, 5 x zombiefied and I have my full compliment I can smack the zombies. Nice work.

This looks awesome! Good thing I haven’t built a trading hall in my hardcore world. This will be perfect! Very important: Make sure your difficulty is on hard mode or else you might find issues with the zombification. Good tip: Iron bars decrease villager curing time.

@@mad_glitchersyt You will need access to the end and an Ender dragon. With this, you need to collect dragons breath by using bottles on the particle clouds the Ender dragon will spew via the ranged attack or when he’s in the center. This stuff you collect is called Dragons Breath. Assuming you have basic brewing stuff, you will then to brew the following stuff: Water bottle + fermented spider eye > weakness potion + gunpowder > splash potion of weakness + Dragons Breath > lingering potion of weakness Once you have this potion of lingering, you can surround the potion of lingering with arrows in a crafting grid and it will convert the arrows into tipped arrows. Note: arrows don’t stack in the crafting grid, so it takes eight lingering weakness potions to get a stack of tipped arrows.

@@mad_glitchersyt If you don't want this hard process of getting ender dragon breath just to make tipped arrow of weakness you can get it from a fletcher villager with a max trade. Bear in mind villagers trade are made random throughout each level so getting a weakness arrow may take time. I find it easy to ehem- just burn them in lava and wait for another villager to be breed :)

guys if any1 like me is building this in any public server with no land claims and making them undergrpund then a verymuseful tip to bring zombie dont go on surfac eta night t find ine juts strip mine in 4 directions around hall and find cave make sure ur mine is 2 block high and through that u can brinhg zombie to farm easliy ad make sure to close the mine and another useful tip break the block between 2 villagers and not slab the block above it and put /splash potion of weakness their and it will give effect to both villagers and this way u will,save potions and MAKE SURE TO CLOSE THE TRAP DOOR THORUGH LIVER SO WATER DONT COME

Wondering if it’s maybe a good change to have 1 button/lever for three or so villagers. That way you can maximise the curing from one weakness potion and not waste any for each individual villager. Obviously no need if you use arrows, and the only issue would be nit wanting to cure certain villagers

if you zombify more than 1 villager, when the villager goes back to normal it might choose the working station of another villager, and thats a mess to fix so i say thats a bad idea.

when you flick the lever, the villager will go up and then be zombified by the zombie, when it converts into a zombie villager it will drown, so then you flick the lever again to stop the water

Works a treat. Didnt realise i needed to give them an apple after the weakness, all sorted now. Only issue is sometimes the zombie kills the villager before it zombifies it.

You need to have difficulty on HARD to always zombify a villager. Any lower difficulty and it has a chance to die

@@FilthGnasty Infinity only works with regular arrows, Piercing, as the name suggests, allows the arrow to pierce through the target, allowing for you to collect it and reuse the arrow.

It is probably a pathing issue, try putting full blocks in between the work stations. If that doesn't work try to move the work station back 1 block.

​@@waterandfire3838 Don't place all the working stations at once, if you don't have all the villagers in place yet. If there are more than one unclaimed working stations at the same time, it takes a minute or so until they change their profession. This worked for me

Didn’t work at all, the zombie was able to jump on top of the trap door making the piston pointless. When I healed the villager the price remained high. I just wasted so much time setting this up for no reason. I lost my mending villager and my luck of the sea 3 villager. Im so sad

In 1.20.2, some trades can no longer cost one emerald. If one item costs 1 emerald, you cannot lower any prices down.

They don't need a bed, usually if they stop restocking it's because they are paired with a different workstation. Try breaking all the job blocks, then place them back one at a time with all the other villagers blocked off with dirt or something to ensure they pair with the right ones.

@@hopelessfisher1954 Because zombie villagers are in the category of monsters that can despawn like any other zombie, skeleton, enderman, etc if you walk far away. Try to cure them before leaving, or maybe trading once before zombifying them, but idk if that could have changed in actual versions.

They do if you want them to refersh trades, but they dont need to actually acces the beds, what you can do is place a bed behind the hall for every villager, or just hide them underground.

Make sure your world difficulty is on 'hard' it'll make the probability of your villager getting zombified 100%. Personally haven't trued building this yet but this is what Ive seen from numerous comments about trading halls. Hope it helped!

You must be playing on easy that has 0% to zombify the villager so it always dies, normal has 50% chance and hard has 100% chance to zombify.
