My mom has a cat who used to be allowed on the balcony, we covered the gaps where he could escape with chicken wire but one day he pushed through it and jumped down. It was only like 6 feet off the ground so maybe he wouldn't have done it if we were higher up but still. It caused my mom a lot of grief. We thought he had been eaten by a coyote but 28 days later he was found across the street, having lost a lot of weight and turned almost feral. My mom lured him in with treats and as soon as she scooped him up he was his nice self again. Love that cat. Thanks for reading.
