During first grade, we had someone come in and teach basic Spanish for an hour a week, and I was able to absorb more then than I seem to be able to now. I used to think it was just me, but after looking at studies, I realize that it is the case for most people because of how the brain develops. However, I realize you're right in the sense that it's never too late to begin learning. I apologize if that was not part of what you were saying, but that is part of what I took away from your comment. I hope the learning process goes really smoothly for you.
