@@Malo_mart same! I will say it is remarkably harder in my 30s than it was as a child. During first grade, we had someone come in and teach basic Spanish for an hour a week, and I was able to absorb more then than I seem to be able to now. I used to think it was just me, but after looking at studies, I realize that it is the case for most people because of how the brain develops. However, I realize you're right in the sense that it's never too late to begin learning. I apologize if that was not part of what you were saying, but that is part of what I took away from your comment. I hope the learning process goes really smoothly for you.

So fun fact about retail stores here in the U.S.: Certain store chains have it as a requirement that workers cannot stop a shoplifter in anyway shape or form without being terminated or put on final notice (if lucky). From what I've heard, it's meant to protect the workers if the shoplifter gets agressive and happens to be carrying something that may or may not put you 6 feet under.
