By far the best tutorial video on the Equinox 800 💯. Awesome video. Although I normally do beach hunts, your video still helped me figure out the proper settings for my nox, which I’ve owned for 2+ years and counting never found gold rings but, Thanks to your video I adjusted my settings and I found a woman’s gold and diamond ring both engagement and wedding band sets, 2 14k gold necklaces and 1Mens gold diamond ring, all in one beach hunt. Thank you so much. Keep up the great videos. All the best to you. 🤛🏼

Tennessee Adventures Thank you so much. Found My 5th ring last night, after watching ur vid a couple days ago, found so much. If possible can you do best settings for salt water hunting. I don’t think the settings would be much different from park, just depending on the mineral content on the beach. But hey, you did an awesome job either way. I’m stoked with my finds. Best of luck to you.

WOW! Best informational I have seen on the 800 to date! I have been reluctant to use the machine because I presumed it could not surpass my go to, the CTX. I am a 62 year old gal that can still swing the 3030 for hours but the lightness of the NOX was calling my name. I struggle with technology so your video helped a lot. I detect a lot of mining ghost towns and focus and coins and relics so if you have any settings that could help I would greatly appreciate them! Thank, Peggy

Thanks for watching Peggy. I usually run mine on park 1 or 2 Recovery speed at 4 or 5 Sensitivity at 22/23 Iron bias at 2 Auto ground balance. Auto notice cancel and I also change all my settings to a high tone when I’m looking for coins Hope that helps you out.

I really have enjoyed my Equinox 600! I finally found some $25 Rain resistant APTX-Low Latency EARBUDS for summertime that actually give the + symbol in the upper right. The 600 will let you change most of the advanced settings, like iron bias, just not as fine-tuned as the 800. You cannot change the pitch of the threshold tone (which I don't use threshold), and there is no gold mode (I do not prospect), and no 20/40 khz single frequencies (I have a Deus with the HF coil for that), the backlight is either on or off on the 600, and I cannot save a profile. The WM08 module costs over $200 if bought separately, so if you need that, the 800 is a no-brainer. The main options I miss are the ability to fine-tune recovery speed (600 only has 1, 2, or 3) and Iron Bias (600 only has 0, 1, 2, or 3). I think Multi-IQ is the same for both detectors (which 99% of the time I am in Park2 or Field2). Thanks for a great video, and I hope to hunt with you guys one day!

Tennessee Adventures grew up prospecting with a garret . You know how life throws curve balls haven’t done anything for twenty years. Last fall I was digging in an area and found a gold coin, this is where it gets crazy we were at a friends decided to play a little paint ball. After playing for three hrs lost the coin somewhere on his property I’m going to find it 😂. We’ve looked with cheep detectors I actually have some really nice pictures of coin plus I really don’t know if it’s actually gold ,it was found around an area where more coins have been found. I’ve had some coin experts say it looks like a Spanish 1615 approximately. What sucks I texted a picture to my wife when I got home no coin. Personally everyone thinks I had it going to sell and sail on 😂. I wished they were right. I’m going to find that dam coin or die trying 😂 either way I’m fired up about hunting.
@mkgriff14925 жыл бұрын
Honestly if your not going to gold prospect and don't mind going out to get your own headphones the Nox 600 is basically the same machine. The Nox 800 has more recovery options but the max recovery is identical just different increments on both machines. If you have the money get the Nox 800. If you want to save some money or you are only using for beach hunting get the Nox 600. Also both have advanced options but the 800 you get more advanced settings and a user profile.

When you tell people the squigly line is auto ground balance, you should also explain the pro's and con's of that feature. It's not something everyone would want to use. You can end up missing some good targets. Many experienced folks using this machine do not use it for this reason, so at least mention that it might or might not be a good choice to have it on.

I still am trying to figure out ground balance myself. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I zero it out. I appreciate the helpful information and the comment. Happy huntings to you ✌🏻

On your screen decals that you said you had to add the one for Russian. I saw another video where someone cuts the bottom off of those screen savers so that the English writing is always there. Then he cuts the labs off of all the other ones and just replaces the clear plastic. Thanks for the video, I'm refreshing my memory on the options and then test out in my 3/4 acer home lot. It uses to be an avocado grove so who knows. Then off to the Beaches
@TennesseeAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use all the other screens by cutting them, I was out of the English ones so I had to use that one. I hope this video helped you out a bit and thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you find some good stuff out there. Happy hunting’s

a trick you can do for the screen protector to keep it in english is, before you take off the backing, take the protector and line it up on the screen like you would when your sticking it on. when its lined up, mark where it lines up with the bottom of the screen then cut it along that line. then just take the part with the words, stick it on so it lines up with the bottom of the screen, then take all the other non english protectors and cut them at that same place. from then on all you do is change the part that covers screen and leave the words on.

Thanks for the upload. I have the Nox 600 and I’m always getting iron falsing even with iron bias set at 3 which is the equivalent of 8 on the Nox 800. Plus sensitivity is low at 15, running in all metal & tried discrimination, nevertheless I’m getting iron falsing. Any advice is appreciated
@TennesseeAdventures5 жыл бұрын
I’ve never had issues with the iron falsing yet, I always auto noise cancel and use auto ground balance. I run my iron bias usually at 2. I’ve had issues where I will get a good signal and I dig it up and it’s iron. Takes some learning and only other thing I can think of is to check out the manual for your detector or try a factory preset.

On noise cancel I've always understood the coil must be held over head.
@TennesseeAdventures5 жыл бұрын
Yes always hold it out in front of you so it picks up everything around you. I always hold it away from the ground.

Not literally over your head - off the ground about a foot or two is enough.

What is standard mode ??? And what does it do??? Great info. Thanks. New to Equinox 800 and detecting
@TennesseeAdventures5 жыл бұрын
I believe standard would be what comes preset out of the box. As far as modes to detect I believe park modes are standard, I always fine tune my machine so I can pick what I want the tones to be and what I wanna customize to my preferences. Glad you are new to detecting, hope you enjoy the hobby and thank you for stopping by my channel.
