Take a small piece of gold and bury it 6" to 9" in the ground, then you can adjust your setting until the 6000 picked it up. Be sure to save the settings fit future use. Yes, you might get more trash, but you'll also get deeper gold. Good luck.

The 6000 picks up smaller pieces than your test piece in Australia in a variety of soils. Id check your settings. 👍

Sounds like a lot of money to find junk with like the cheaper models. It is finding really small stuff though.

Nokta just came out with a primarily gold detector for $849 called the GoldFinder 2000 which is a turn on and go detector. The hunting screen looks very similar to this one. It too is a half circle with the right site indicating gold and the left half of the circle indicating trash. It looks like it would go head to head with the Minelab but it weighs about half the weight and costs over $5000. Less
@fallcrack71753 жыл бұрын
i have one.. the half circle is not really reliable but very good for nail. The machine sometimes go crazy to hot rock still i think Gold finder 2000 far better than gold monster1000

I think just maybe you might need to get the right sensitivity setting.To hit that peace on the card.Of coarse a ground cancel.probable wouldn't hurt after each adjustment.til you get the right one.

@yeoldescratch33453 жыл бұрын
I'd certainly check your settings, the machine should of screamed with your test nugget in that plastic card. The smallest nugget I've heard of being picked up by a GPX 6000 was .004 of a gram. the smallest one I picked up was .007 of a gram, which is about a quarter of the size of your first nugget you tested. I think they are an awesome machine. I really enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing
I have only found gold at 4 inches with my gold monster out of 40-50 different pieces only 4 inches deep max with monster.

Borrowed a 7000 off a mate of mine. Way too heavy. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger would have had enough after 45 minutes it weighs too much. They are all selling there 7000s here in Western Australia and going back to 4500s.

Jack....if you could have taken your $6000 and bought 3oz of gold pickers and spread them around your yard .....took your 2300 and detected your yard, you would have at least a year of Eureka moments and look at all the gas you would have saved, not having to drive around looking for gold...and you might still have close to your $6000
