Minelab manticore and equinox 900 Bluetooth headphone hack

I've easily connected my 800 headphones to the Manticore without messing with them or opening them up, changing the insides, shoving extra headphones in your backpack- etc. Now I have the best of both worlds- The Manticore working with bluetooth 800's.

Good work mate! I've been tempted to rip the guts out the headphones, and just slap it in a small waterproof box to pop on my hip. Then connect the L+R output wires direct to a 3.5mm jack. It's a little silly seeing so many people baby-rage over the headphones and "ra ra ra, I'll never buy minelab again, they lost a customer, yada yada" over it. The important warranty is the machine, you can butcher the headphones all you want to make them work how you want! 😆

Yeah its a quick fix… im sure minelab will be working on a module

great hack mate ......so do you have to open up and change something inside headphones or just plug in ear buds as shown ? also do the stock phones still work as normal without ear buds plugged in ?

Yeah you have to wire in a 5 pin 3.5 jack switch… headphones then work as ment to with added bonus of ability to plug in any other phones… used today and it was mint

@@englandshistory So if I have it right - you need to pick up the audio output of the Bluetooth device in the headphones and wire it to the extra two pins on the 5 pin jack socket ?

Didn't the August bluetooth Audio Adapter Transmitter work out for you?

It works good but i didnt like the extra wire dangling from mini jack port on control box

Yeah only the 900 and manti are compatible with each other

Thats what the wm08 box is doing… basically ive had the bluetooth headphones turned into a wm08 module
