Hi@@IlianMitov-q1n a lot of my fields only have small heavy iron patches so in that instance I would increase reactivity to 3 audio response 4 and lower sensitivity depending on severity of ground, the general base program does separate ok but if your searching solely iron Infested areas I would choose sens ft P3 or Fast. I have found plenty of co mingled targets in the iron with this program however, happy hunting and good luck😊

@@Urge38 I agree, I’ve dug loads of targets that have had an iron grunt, something which the deus 2 doesn’t do as much. I run stabiliser on three which calms things down for me, funny the first manticore I had on the original software seemed better all round?

@ I’ll look into a video which covers inputting the settings into the ws6👍 On the puck you can only save one extra program on top of the preset programs, so a maximum of 12 custom programs

Hi @@ابووله-ج5ف I’ve always found sensitive to be most effective in outright performance for depth. If clean ground you can lower reactivity to 0/0.5 sensitivity as high as conditions will allow and all filters off like silencer and notch, bottle cap etc, also you can increase audio response max frequency 40. I would use pitch with high square if your cleaning out an area, good luck👍 You could also play with with deep hc and use max frequency 40

Hi@@lukebowers536 if you gave the Deus 2 some time you will realise the audio is its strong point, there is so much information in full tones you really can start to call what you are digging. The manticore has it to some extent but I think the nox was better. Also you have the high square option on the D2. The manticore has a no nonsense stop and dig which doesn’t miss much but can be tiring on some fields if you like to run it hot. I have no bother with the charging clip and confused over the fuss people make of it to be honest. What machine are you using currently? Cheers

@@DIRTBROSDETECTING ive got an xterra elite & an awful seban xtreme, the seban can find a pair of pliers 3 feet down but will pass right over silver & gold even on the surface, i like the xterra tho, ive had a lot of fun with that & found my first gold coin with it, ive got a friend bringing over a deus 2 next week for me to try, we are going to do a field on my folks farm that has a lot of hisory, used to be a train station in the field in the 1800's

@ the xterra elite is a cracking machine! And that land sounds interesting, gold sovereigns is the first thing that popped into my mind!😂 we have an old railway that runs through our town and the station is at the back of an old in-laws house, I had a go but didn’t find much. I love the tones on the deus 1, I just got a deus 2 but haven't been able to use it yet due to snow But I must say I hate the charging clip, I can't prove it but I think it fried one of my coils, I had the elliptical HF coil and the battery died in it, I figured I bought it on Amazon maybe it was old stock, so I bought a new battery, less then a week later the new battery was dead, okay so now I have a coil frying batteries, send it in for warranty they send me a new coil I think the charging clip I had was defective because the charging light would never turn off, it would stay on forever, wouldn't go to flashing And not long later that charging clip broke completely which adds to my paranoia over that clip So either my coil was defective, or the charging clip caused it to be defective idk So far I have not had problems with my new coil except I've had the same issue of the charging light not turning off, if my new coil Fry's the battery I'm just going to retire the deus 1 and I'll be through with it, just focus on the deus 2 But I wish the coil had a different mechanism, maybe like the D2 remote with a screw cap

@@digginggopher the tones on the D2 are the same as the D1 and more. I went through around four hf coils and the problem lies with the batteries being housed in the stem shaft and the connector moving around.. it’s a common problem with the hf coils trust me. Also my charge lights also didn’t go out, absolutely nothing wrong with the charge clip my end. Happy hunting👍

Hi@@lukebowers536 can’t go wrong with either to be honest and your in luck, there’s a new high frequency fmf coil coming out for the deus 2 next year! The manticore does live up to its name and is very easy to switch on and go whereas the Deus 2 has so many programs it’s hard to settle on one and get to know the machine. If you’ve ever used a Deus 1 full tones is a must on the D2, good luck and enjoy😎

Hi@@jonsessions2121 as a full tones user, low conductive targets such as a cut quarter at 8” may give a scratchy tone which you might miss, so I use sensitive prog 2 reactivity 2 with pitch to cross check any targets I’m unsure of. I use full tones exclusively as I find it easier to id iron. If you would like the full pitch program just let me know and good luck with your D2😊

Hi@@annesinnema8028 don’t forget this is a test bed so you know where the targets are, but minelabs have always had stop me and dig tones but can also be very busy and frustrating on some fields. I also had the iron volume turned down on the manticore in the video to 3, but they are a cracking machine. They are both have there quirks, some people are in the minelab camp and others xp..

The million dollar question!@@Huginn1000 Can the deus full tones be bettered for pure aural metal detecting? Can the minelab flutey tones be bettered for that silver high hit? Only you can try and decide yourself, they are both very good machines. I like both equally, manticore is edging it slightly lately as it is simpler and has the knack of going very deep, but then so does the D2 if its setup. I think the manticore can be easier to just pick up and go and needs less tinkering, just don’t underestimate the D2..

Thanks@@andrewtyers451 yes it will work on V2.0, and yes it loves pasture but if your in heavy iron you can copy the settings over to general, lower sensitivity and run reactivity 2.5/3. I’ve found sens ft will separate better than general so keep that in mind. The CP9 program does favour cleaner ground like a lot of my fields have, even my Roman sites are pretty easy going. @@philwilliams9948 no worries Phil, in heavy iron which I don’t have masses of I’ll go between fast and sens ft both turned right down and reactivity 3ish, silencer 0, also Tekkna works well, and also the manticore with the 9” coil I can imagine is a very good.. not tried the 9” coil yet though. I've used a deus 1 for 10 years and deus 2 for 2 years... having a change over to the manticore has been an experience :) I've found with the latest 2.0 update on the dues 2.. I've lost some confidence when it comes to what to dig.. with the manticore it's night and day.. I don't know how bettter to explain it..

Hi@@jdeee9274 discrimination was set at 6.8 in the video so everything above that the deus 2 will hear, general is a very powerful program and is suited to beginners and experienced users, it simply runs ground suppression to quieten down the machine on wet ground. And as for gold id’s.. you carry on ignoring targets below 37 because there is no rule to what id or sound any target will make when you swing your detector over it, thank me later👍 The reason the deus 2 did not hear those low conductors in the video was due to the reactivity, for me past reactivity 2 i find depth drops right off, I had it set at 2.5 to compare to the manticores 5. Oh.. and there’s no experts on our channel, we just find stuff and share our thoughts, apologies if it’s not to your liking🫡👍

Show me a target under 37 that is not garbage and if one uses the factory programs on the Deus and probably any detector you are then wasting your time and that’s where you are missing targets

@@jdeee9274 one of my best romans being a limes geta came in at 36, I’ve had hammered below 30, I’m sure you know that numbers mean nothing! If it sounds good you dig it and if your on a hot spot dig the iron and everything else

@@DIRTBROSDETECTING First most of us don’t live in the land of pastures filled with Roman treasures so for us there is nothing to dig at those low numbers, except possibly a tiny earring back so small that the Manticore would most likely not hear it??? Here also digging those low numbers might yield crusty nails along with all other forms of crapulence and that’s 99.99999% of what will be dug so it is truly a waste of time. My issue is that you try to make it look like the Deus is inferior to the Manticore while in fact I as no expert but have 10s of thousands of hours on the machine against and with others using the Minelab products can safely say you are totally wrong and the Deus is by far superior. You need to open up the Deus and you might be very surprised that you are missing lots of targets that the Manticore just can’t register not just the low hanging fruit that this machine finds.

@@addwithadz yes mate go for it! If you base the cp9 program off general it’ll be nice and quiet for you, just leave silencer off 0 and bottle caps off and no notch and you’ll be fine. That program found me two tiny broken pieces of an Edward the elder saxon coin so it doesn’t miss much! Good luck😊

I ground balanced the manticore in the field the other day which came in at 4 so very close to the 0 recommended. Thanks for watching👍

Hi@@pamphstrigkas6327 80cm is very deep, but if it’s hoard then you may have a chance with all of the machines you have listed. If you were solely looking for gold then the monster gold 1000 needs to be high on the list but everything else either the deus 2 or manticore. I am enjoying the manticore lately but like any machine you need to spend hours learning it to listen for those hard signals that may well be the deep gold you are searching for, sounds interesting and good luck hunting!😃
