They don’t tell you what room that you’re getting in case anything in the room breaks so you won’t throw a fit when you have to be moved or demand compensation for being moved. General practice in hotels is not to tell the guest a room number until the person is checking in to save the headache of having to deal with issues.

I spend a good part of my time on Reddit, so I can spot a fake story somewhat. The first one is full of such stupidity I honestly couldn't listen. Recording without consent? Withdrawing all the money from shared account leaving her without any? Poisoning with her clothes with the intention of bodily harm? Threaten to physically drag her out, risking injury and legal troubles from him? This guy would've lost the divorce trial and would have a plethora of accusations against him, which could lead to jailtime. If any of this was real. And the lawyer said he did good by recording? Without consent from her or approval from the hotel? Yeah, no. All in all, 3/10. At least TRY to make these fake-a$$ stories sound somewhat true.

This story is so fake. For the last 10 years, I have stayed at so many different hotels for between 100 to 200 nights each year. Unless you are at some Boutique Hotel, & certainly not at a chain like the Hilton, your room is never ever given to you 1 or 2 weeks in advance, it is not even assigned to you until you check in. So he can miss us with that BS that he knew it was room 125 one or two weeks in advance. Such a joke. Why do people even write things like this when they are so far from being true, it is beyond me.

You can't close a joint account like that you need the permission from the second holder of the account otherwise you just have to remove the money from the account and that's all you can do. Unless both parties come personally to the bank to give consent to close the account. Also what makes this seams even more fake is the fact that at the end the wife genuinely admitted to being wrong without breaking down and crying or shifting the blame away from herself that usually isn't how it goes.

I love a good story, but there are a lot of things in the first one that just don’t add up. If the ex-wife wanted to, she could definitely take legal action for unauthorized access to her email. The story itself could even be used as evidence. Plus, there are laws against illegal surveillance-installing cameras in a hotel room and recording people is a big no-no, no matter what your intentions are. The guy who was with the ex-wife could also take legal action because of the illegal surveillance, which makes the whole thing seem even more far-fetched. And while it might seem funny to put pepper spray in someone’s underwear, that’s actually considered battery. If she had a severe reaction, it could’ve landed her in the hospital and made things much worse. All said and done, you're looking at unauthorized access, illegal surveillance, battery, and emotional distress, it would've done more damage to him and his reputation if she chose to file a lawsuit. Am I correct about this?

Okay, this is probably not a true story because of some little things that don’t add up. One he said he sprayed her sexy lingerie. Pepper spray is not transparent! It would easy be spotted, second he changed the locks before the weekend she left but she never had an issue the Monday morning when they both had breakfast. Also booking a specific room in a Hilton on short notice would be hard, not impossible but hard. One thing that I just thought was too much of a coincidence was the AP’s wife’s name is Tina too? TW spoilers and major doubts of the story being real I will say, you lost me at the pepper spraying the panties without mentioning it literally gassing the entire room. If anyone has ever sprayed pepper spray anywhere besides outdoors or in an extremely well ventilated area, you know it fills the area. I had my doubts about how real the story was, but hey, it's more fun to listen to now, knowing likely no one got hurt cause these people probably aren't real.
