Hey! Great question! I am a fellow Minervan, a classmate, friend, fan of Savanah actually, and wanted to quickly jump in to this question. We haven't yet traveled to those destinations, though we'll soon be in Seoul, South Korea! Part of Minerva's Financial Aid considers this cost obstacle when they evaluate your application for need-based scholarship. They will reduce this amount from the expected family contribution so that those indirect costs to the education are accounted for and your family can actually afford to pay for it.

thank you!! i'll try my best to answer your questions. 1 - while at uwc it's up to you to take positions of leadership and to use the resources offered. research about the needs of the community that you're surrounded by, find a problem you can help solve. 2 - i was a resident assistant. i lead a weekly activity that was really meaningful to me. and it provided me with a worldwide network of people which allowed me to travel during the summer between my first and second year. the skills i aquired from these travels are going to be very useful during my 4 yrs at minerva. 3 - yes, i believe it did. uwc is selective to begin with. so when looking at uwc students, minerva is already looking at a selective pool of people. uwc also gave me the tools to grow and mature in ways that are appealing to minerva. i was also able to get amazing support from staff throughout my application process :)
