All the chain saw look the business on the plot, I have a few hawthorn bushes that need trimming each year and normally use long handle secateurs.

What width/girth of branch/trunk would you say these mini chain saws would cut through?

They will cut, but not recommended one and a half times the length of the bar so a 6 inch bar will cut 9 inches going from both sides Caroline. Normally a 6 inch mini Chainsaw will easily cut upto 4 inches on a regular basis. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

A difficult one to answer as it is in my vehicle and it only gets minimal use, but the batteries do last a long time while not in use. These saws in my own personal opinion are ideal for collecting wood, camping, pruning etc . I still use my petrol saw to cut wood for my wood burner. Hope this helps. Happy Logging, Terry King.

I have this model with the 4 Ah battery and I find I have about 1hour ish working time. This is not 60 minutes of chainsaw running time but having set up I use the saw and move on to the next cut with an inevitable pause in saw use to move to the next branch or to pick up the next log. Use time with the 4 Ah battery I would think is about 50 min.

Hi Terry What oil do you use for these chainsaws. Specialist or car engine oil?

I use Specialist chainsaw oil, it is very tacky and sticks to the chain and bar, extending the life, well worth paying for a container. If you are just an occasional user they do say you can use any type of oil, vegetable being the friendliest.

i've had a mini chain saw for way over a year now. it is extremely useful as i can't handle a hand saw. isn't arthritir a pain. lol....................brian

@@terrykingsallotmentgardening fingers crossed mate lol, usually use a silky to prune my blackthorn hedges but mine blunt and although I bought the right file to sharpen it, it's never got as sharp as new, and a new silky is similar price to these cheap saws so I'm in the market for one!

I have two similar to one all the way to the right I love them and my latest and greatest is a chainsaw on a stick I have one but you have to plug it in this new one is battery operated and I'm in heaven

Hahaha yes i told myself off when I watched it back and yes that's how easy it is to get hurt when you are not fully engaged, dam saws would't stand up without the battery's on..... Happily gardening with all my fingers Terry.

Omg that's too funny. He must like the little jumping feeling the elevator makes when it starts and stops. Also he might be intrigued as to how they😮 wound up on their floor without going up the stairs... for him it's like they entered a room with a magically closing door and then it opened and they somehow were back at their front door. Im sure he's probably very confused and fascinated

I use the Stihl GTA 26 Cordless Mini Chainsaw which looks a bit more beefy, its £150 from www.mowers2go.co.uk It has manual oiling from a bottle, but the instructions say it only needs oil when the battery is changed. But that apart, I am always keen to choose something that has batteries compatible with other kit. The Bosch Power-For-All looks good on that front, Bosch have a mini chainsaw for £125, but that is ex-battery
