MINI Cooper NBT system small screen upgrade to EVO system large screen and new User interface!

We updated a NZ NEW entry-level model from NBT system to EVO system. The car has a smaller screen (6.8'') and has no factory navigation function. After upgrade. the car now has a factory 8.8'' factory touch screen with new user interface and factory navigation. Also, it has Factory Apple CarPlay& Android Auto.

I've seen from sites that sell the parts that the factory backup camera won't work if you swap out the head unit. Was that true for this car?
