I made two of these for my sister’s granddaughters. One of them was a dinosaur motif and the other cat motif. They came out great. I can tell that lots of work goes into the preparation of each video followed by the links. I like printing the pdf, doing all the cutting and attaching the interfacing or fleece, and then watching the video. This is a great kid’s size bag!

Yoan , this is just soooo pretty 🤩. I am glad I found your channel! I am learning to sew and this year , I am going to focus on bag making . I think each year , I want to focus on one thing and develop my skills to become proficient in that area. My girl pals and family are lucky this year ….hahaha, I am making them bags ! I can’t use all bags for myself. That would be selfish. I love what I see on your channel, great tutorials. I will start with easy so I build my confidence and not give up too easily. This hobby is not a cheap hobby, I am discovering that , but it feels soooo good to make something useful and practical and giving it away just gets my endorphins over the cliff. So it’s a great mental de-stressing hobby, cheaper than going to a therapist! LOL One gets two wins, gifting to someone and a de-stressor for the maker. Thank you for creating bags and giving us a free option to learn and offering free patterns or written instructions🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 You are a giver like myself so God will shower you and your family with many blessings. Update : I changed the measurements of panel 2&3 to 9" x 6 1/2" (23 x 16.5 cm), to accommodate differences when installing the zipper. After you finished installing the front zipper pocket, measure the height of your front exterior, trim off the bottom part (if any excess) so that your front exterior panel will measure 7 1/2" (19 cm) tall. Also...please note that this project is designed for cotton quilting fabric. If you opt for heavier fabric, you need to adjust the interfacing accordingly, you may leave out the fusible fleece, or leave out all the interfacing altogether depending on the thickness of your fabric. I do not recommend very heavy fabric for this project. I have not read the comments and I am sure someone has already thought of this. I did make my second bag and I just unzipped both zippers and sewed the final stitch all the way around the bag. I did not leave the bottom open to turn inside out. I boxed the corners and then turned it inside out through the zippers. That made it so much easier. Also instead of using the d-rings on the side of the bag I only had the d ring with the clip on it so I used that on both the straps and the bag. Hmm it is now used if I want to attach it to my jeans if I want to use it with no straps. Such cool stuff with this design.
