It's noisy up close, does it interfere with watching movies on TV or the computer?

Sometimes it can interfere with watching stuff on TV.......But I did notice that if you are watching a film that you are really enjoying, you kinda trance out and don't notice the humming that much.

How does this compare to DivChi crystal dehumidifier?

Obviously the DevChi chrystals are cheaper and do not need any electricity. I would say at first I didn't think the DevChi were working but over time they did dissolve and absolve the moisture in the air. I use the Hysure typically for morning periods to assist in the quick dispensing of steam from my daily shower/bath.
