Great info about bearings. That's part of the reason I switched to the 8" wheels because I upgraded to 5/8 axles. With this option I could have kept my 6" wheels.

I would have done the back wheel with a 10 inch but I'm trying to keep it simple without spacers and washers and such.
Depending on whether or not the front wheel stays on the ground I might have some extra laundry to do myself!

This bike is soo different from your other builds. Generally you build all arounders. This one is so specific use

I just rode it down to take the trash to the dumpster.....not bad! The mini 91 works wonders on this engine. It's insanely obnoxious with an open header. Torkzilla helps keep things somewhat manageable on take off. It's still wet out so I haven't tried a hot lap....I'll charge up the gopro for that!

Stainless zip ties!!!!!

Lol definitely not PAIN-less zip ties! They'll work but I should have got wider ones. 100% my first time trying to use that tool! 😆

Nice man I'm definitely wanting to upgrade db30s since bearing don't last no time on that bike
@fatbuddycat2 жыл бұрын
These might not last long either but at least my big butt won't bend the axle too!

Are there industrial grade bearings that maybe cost more but hold up for the life of the bike with the occasional regreasing?
@fatbuddycat2 жыл бұрын
I used some decent ones just to try it out and make sure it works. I'm going to do my ct100 too and see if I can nab a top of the line set. Love my 99cc bike. This would be a cool one to do a lighter engine on too. Lots of power to weight, kinda makes it less fun and more serious to ride.

I’m guessing same for the ct100u? That what I have.
@fatbuddycat2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Since I honestly like my Ct100u more I'll be doing it as well. It's way easier to replace bearings than axles in my opinion.

I'm not joking. It's not the ride either. It's the fun factor. On the cc100x I feel less in control and more intimidated to push the bike because of the excessive torque. Injury seems more eminent.

When you going to get a bt?
@fatbuddycat2 жыл бұрын
Everything is bank up here. Prices are starting to come down. If I got a BT I'd have to sell a couple. I can't ride them all!

They have several sizes of 5/8 spacers to choose. 17mm works perfectly for length with these bearings. 17mm comes out to .669 inches so your best to cut them yourself at 17mm.
