Hi Lauren, I two weeks ago just bought an HD9 Janome. I absolutely LOVE mine. I have been sewing purses and quilts on my Brother NQ700 even leather!!!! My Brother sewed through the leather like butter. I bought the Janome HD9 as I had heard that I could mess up my timing. So I thought better to be safe then sorry. I do not regret my sewing machine. Purchases either domestic or heavy duty.

I made an Erica at 85% and widened the gusset by an inch for my mom to use as a lunchbox. I love this pattern! Can’t wait to see you at the Geek Craft Expo!

I currently use a Babylock Destiny and 1950’s Sewing machine to make bags! Trust Lauren when she says domestic machines will make you want to throw it out the window! I am going to get an industrial machine.

I have an 1181N also and use size 19 needles only and have never had any problems with them. I agree with the Goldilocks of needles for sure!

Have you ever done any zip around wallets? I'm struggling lol I make these really cool taco looking wallets and EVERYBODY wants them to be zip around and I literally can't find a good tutorial anywhere! My issue is the zipper part and knowing what to do with the tail of it lol. I've been using the Bagstock Mia wallet. Thanks!
