Your doing great man, there are many people here that will give negative comments such as you should have shopped around more, or its going to take forever to dig a pond with that thing. Don’t listen to them, its fun to do a project yourself and its even more fun not having to pay someone else to do it for you. Keep up the good work and your purchase is wonderful. Cute little mini mini excavator. That thing wasn’t going to flip on ya coming out of the trailer. Just extend the boom out if you feel it’s a little sketchy. Or spin it around and come down frontwards. If you’re thinking about digging out a pond with that thing, it’s gonna be a while. Especially if you insist on moving the spoils like that.

Awesome! It’s great machine. After 6 months of use I finally figured out that I shouldn’t be throttling so high. A recommendation from another KZbinr, I’m very appreciative of that advice. Don’t throttle all the way up, maybe at two thirds throttle.

Easy test for any forklift(towmotor)operater to find where most of the weight is is to put the forks together and center them under that crate and just lift an inch or so off the ground, then if you have to move to one side or another and you’ll see which side has more weight🤔(the side with less weight will rise).

That’s crazy cheap for an excavator. If you can, and if you’re still working on your pond, which I’m guessing you are, I would recommend leasing some larger equipment. A 35 excavator and a skid steer would make light work of a job like that.

@@24acresofparadise Thans for the answer! I noticed that the tracks are not able to extend sideways. So the machine is always very narrow. What is your experience on this design choice? Doesn’t it intend to tip over if you make a wrong or sudden movement? Thanks again!

Why do you need a customs broker if your ordering it online? I looked at the website and it doesn't say anything about needing anything from customs or is that just Texas?
@24acresofparadise3 жыл бұрын
Anytime you are importing merchandise from overseas like China you need to follow customs rules. Once the merchandise makes it to the U.S. it automatically goes through U.S. Customs and you need to present them with the proper paperwork for them to release the merchandise to you. The customs broker knows exactly what paperwork is needed and how to fill it out. They communicate electronically with U.S. Customs to facilitate the release of your merchandise.

How much was your import fees etc customs and whatnot
@24acresofparadise2 жыл бұрын
I ordered and paid for the excavator through Alibaba which was $3750 + $250 for the grapple attachment. The customs broker handled the other fees and billed me. The total was $5750. Note that I picked up directly at the warehouse so there were no shipping fees for delivery other than the U-haul trailer. The customs broker communicated with the seller and directed me on which forms to sign. The import tax was 25% so that is figured into the total cost.

Proficient would be a good term. I still can't do somersaults with the excavator. I have about 200 hours on it so pretty much can do what I need to with it. I imagine it's more difficult than a large excavator due to the less stable nature of a lighter excavator.

@@24acresofparadise Good luck with it! I've heard more good reviews than bad. You should have shopped around for a little bit larger used one probably could have gotten one close to what you paid for this. Would have made the pond dig and future projects easier.

@@cowboythomas5904 Thanks. Really want to stay away from used as I’ve seen a lot of issues with those also. Especially when you’re shopping at around $6k There just isn’t anything out there in that price point that is not too used.

Actually your wrong. If the Man used it to do his own work saving $1,000s of dollars he’s an expert period. They wanted $4,200 to replace my furnace so I bought my own for $489.00 & installed it myself. Paid a guy $30 standing outside of Labor Ready feet to help me. Wasn’t about nothing.

I'm looking at buying something similar. The last time I bought something for my spice/tea business machine spent literally 2 years in customs before they finally seized and destroyed it. We're there additional tariff charges after it arrived or was everything included in one invoice?
@24acresofparadise3 жыл бұрын
You will be billed separately by the customs broker. My out the door price was $5750. I picked up at the shipping warehouse so I saved on the ground shipping. In the description of the video I have some more info.

If you choose DDP, you do not need to declare customs. If you choose CFR, you need to cooperate with the customs declaration.

Hello friend; a question about the equipment; is my understanding that in order to be able to import this equipment from China it has to have an EPA aproved engine; is it true? Or does it has a chinese engine??
@24acresofparadise3 жыл бұрын
I know someone else brought this question up but I never really researched it, so I'm not sure. That would be a good question to ask the seller though.

@@24acresofparadise thanks for answering; if you did not ask for epa engine then they put a chinese one; I know that because I have been askiing to some companies and when they know that the equipment is coming to USA they say it must be EPA engine in order to clear customs

Hi David, I purchased HT-10 excavator seems a same manufacturer(high top will deliver it tomorrow). From a video I see you choose a diesel engine. Is that right? Did you experienced any EPA compliance issues when you released it through the US customs? What brand of a diesel engine you have? I choose the Briggs & Stratton gasoline one concerning it. The diesel seems more reliable, but US manufactured engine has some advantage with parts I thought... But I maybe made a wrong decision...Please share your thought and further experience as you use it
@24acresofparadise3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dima, I don't think there was a gasoline option for the HT-08 when I bought it. The diesel engine is awesome and starts on a dime. The diesel fuel runs for a long time on this 14 hp Koop engine. There were no EPA issues through customs.
