My wife and I have one and we love it. Bought it with 14K miles for $28K. It felt like a brand new car. You have to see the paint in person to appreciate it. Ours is one of the only 200 that came with a manual trans. I notice this one has rubber mats replacing the plush lambs wool mats that it comes with and ours is the same. The mats are too nice for daily use. The seats are more padded that standard Mini seats as well.

I do enjoy your videos; thank-you for them! I don’t think there was a three-seat option in the back of the 3-door. There was in the Clubman, though. I think the rear seat is too far forward between the rear wheel arches in the 3-door to allow enough width whereas the extra wheelbase in the Clubman does allow for it. We’ve had a 2009 R56 Cooper S automatic from new and the ‘Inspired by Goodwood’ sounds just like our from the outside: like a bag of nails! And that snappy gearchange is wearing after just a few km never mind the 100,000 we have done...

I remember when this came out. This is much nicer than the Hideous Rolls-Royce manufactured by BMW. I think the material is Alcantara. Surprised no sunroof, but that is good, no future water leaks. I remember when Rolls-Royce touted Connelly leather, Wilton carpets, and the handwork that went into production. I'm sure some went into this Mini Cooper, but essentially a production Mini Cooper. The interior is glorious, however, not a fan of black paint. I thought it came in a lovely burnished brown or copper, at least that is what my vague memory is telling me, and that is a lovely colour! @@furiousdriving Indeed I am! That's my 15 minutes, okay 5 seconds of fame! It really is special. Others saying that a MINI for £41K is ridiculous, but I don't feel that it is. If you've got something like a Rolls Royce you'll be driven around in it, this is just something that you'd want (as you mentioned in the video) to just go to and from the shops. It looks really nice, but definitely doesn't look as special as what it is. It's a lot, but we're not the target market. Not sure if I'd want one of these over something like a JCW personally, but I definitely can see the appeal. Sure, £16K is a lot, but this is immaculate and how often do they come up? Definitely a collectors car that will be worth a lot in the future, I think.

The manual vs auto honestly I don’t care I loved driving the manual JCW and driving the Auto Goodwood was just as good. Different cars but both awesome. One thing you don’t get in the video is the smell of the leather in the Goodwood 8 years on and the leather smell is incredible. They are quieter than the Cooper S because the noise make was left out of the build in these cars. It was system used to make the Cooper S a bit more sporty sounding. Every option except the sunroof which is a good thing. The MINI sunroofs leak and I probably wouldn’t have brought a Goodwood if they had a sunroof.. I have all the build stats on these if you are interested leave a reply and I will drop a link.

£41,005 new, in the UK, but they lost a fortune on each one. Having said that, making money really wasn't the point of them, it was very much a publicity and marketing device for both Mini and Rolls-Royce works service, who did the conversion on these. The leather used in these is Bridge of Weir hide, which is the standard interior leather on Rolls-Royce motor vehicles, and rather expensive. In a lot of ways, this is also somewhat of a throwback to the Radford Minis of the '60s and the Wood and Picket Minis from the '70s into the '80s. I would imagine this one, being the auto, must be incredibly rare, though somewhat blunts the performance as, if I recall right, the Cooper S engine was de-tuned when coupled to the auto box...
