Great video. Thank you so much for your detailed instructional teaching and information. I have a question. How long before the lemon to vear fruit with this system? I noticed the pear had fruits already or did I see incorrectly?

I started 4 lemon 🍋trees from seed in soil. They just sprouted and will try this method and see how it goes 👏😀👍

I have been growing longevity and okinawan spinach in mason jars with water lol. I just cut clipping and let the bottoms sit in water and they grow roots in a few days from the clippings. I was amazed to see this.

so I take it this method would be just for starting them off, and they would then need to move outside to grow properly and actually get pollinated?

Cool video. The yellowing on your lime tree leaves actually looks like a nutrient burn/deficiency. Do you add calmag to your nutrient solution?

I really enjoy how you so often are thinking outside the typical western mindset Khang! Solutions to food supply concerns may be as simple as recycling. How is your pepper season looking down there? Finally starting to enjoy some warm weather up this way with plants enjoying the benefits too. Now just to avoid those lingering triple digit temps that do arrive some seasons. -Bob...

have u even tested the ph of the water in the cup a few days ago. I think the ph will go up again because the co2 in the air will stabilize the ph. So in my opinion it´s not necessary to use ph down. cheers Jochen Stuttgart Deutschland

Khang, how do you support the trees when they get top heavy (pepper) mine keep falling over
@steamdonkey7395 жыл бұрын
bump, I also wouldn't be able to put them outside due to my cold weather climate so am interested as well.
@KhangStarr5 жыл бұрын
If they are top heavy, it's usually becuase the trunk is not strong enough to support them. To prevent this, allow them to get plenty of light early. but in your case, you may need to trim the top, then clear some leaves to allow light to penetrate through to the middle. This will strengthen the trunk and it will be able to support new shoots that will come.

Khang I'm having trouble with slow growing peppers. I fertilize well but I'm afraid it gets too cold at night. I don't have a greenhouse and I just garden on my apartment balcony Amy tips?
@KhangStarr5 жыл бұрын
Try wrapping the plants in clear plastic at night, like a greenhouse. It will help warm them up a little at night.
@Helloyapfammily5 жыл бұрын
If its a seedling you can just grow it indoors, a normal light will do, you shouldnt feed that much nutes either specially when its not getting enough light , or you will end up having salt buildups on your root system, resultung to nute defficiency. You can have it outside its its not that cold, also mollases would help for vegging the sugar will breakdown to convert to carbs that helps the leaves getting more light

Thanks for the video. FYI- I grew a similar lemon tree, this one (in the link) is approx 3yrs old and does have some of the same leaves with the yellowing. I always assumed it was some nutrient deficiency. As you can see there are a few leaves like that on the upper right. imgur.com/gallery/C7CNqzZ

@Keith X Did your trees bear fruit at all? I was just wondering if with this system the trees bear fruits quicker.
@keaco735 жыл бұрын
geravdee not yet and I’ve purchased one from someone on eBay a few years ago and neither has that one. I don’t know if it usually takes a longer time for them to fruit or maybe I’m feeding it too much nitrogen and haven’t realized it. Do you have any that have bared fruit?
