For some reason, I love how you go to such trouble to make a realistic scroll with actual text in it ... and then seal it up at the end, like all that internal detail is the scroll's own little secret. :-)

I think I can use the dental floss in some of the harness pieces I am going to attempt as sometimes its impossible to get thin enough leather with the required flexibility. I found that nail art caviar beads are a pretty good substitute for the mini nails as they give the effect without the cutting. I have some of that diamond glaze, dimensional glue/glaze and wondered if that could be used to raise the illuminations in the text a bit? This is wonderful, its like Christmas and I can get all my book and scroll needs to add detail to the big house. I also watch Thicketworks as shes done some beautiful Medieval settings which, unfortunately for me require a cricut machine, however lots of her ideas do translate both in scale and in the actual builds. If you think thats fiddly try doing 1:18th scale harness, this really looks like it will be helpful as it behaves like soft leather straps and I can see me getting a lot of use from the dental floss!

Hi Anne! 💗 You are welcome to use (and try) anything that your heart desires, or that you have lying around in your workshop. It's amazing what 'eureka' moments one can have with the simplest of supplies! Yeah, nail art supplies are just the best... bling, gold, texture. I CANNOT imagine working in 1:18th scale, it feels so incredibly difficult and seemingly needs more fiddling than my soul could handle! I honestly salute you! 😊👏🏼 I also follow Thicketworks... she is incredible! And yes, I do have a Cricut Maker, but I have yet to use it! Shameful actually, but there are so many ideas in my head that still have to come to light, so the Cricut has to wait a little longer! I'm so glad the dental floss could help you... yaaay! 👏🏼 And that you can use some of my minis for your house📜💗 Love, Irene xxx

I enjoy watching your videos, Lady Miniac! I listen to your historical comments, and learn a lot. I was sad to hear that the signet rings were destroyed after their owners died! It would have been fascinating to see what these rings looked like! Your miniature scrolls really are enchanting, and I'd love to make one myself. My favorite part of this video is the making of the wax seals!! Thank you so much for this tutorial! Happy New Year! 2023! ~Janet in Canada

Hello precious Janet💗 It's messages like yours that warm my heart so much... I can't tell you! I'm so glad you find the videos helpful and enjoyable! 😊 I love that you find little facts like that interesting... yeah, how awful that those completely personal and precious treasures (signet rings) were destroyed! It was so important that no one continued authorizing important documents or decrees under the guise of the departed person. We've recently seen the exact same thing happening to the seals of Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles had to publicly give permission for certain seals and emblems to continue being used until they have his new ones... after which his mother's will be destroyed. 😞 As for the mini wax seals in the tutorial... yes, aren't they just so magical? Anything goes! People can have endless fun with those 😊 Thank you so much for your feedback! Keep creating, and definitely make some mini scrolls! 💗 Always, Irene xxx

Hello Karen!! 💗 Oh my word... how did I miss your comment???? 😲 I've only come across it now! I'm SO, SO sorry!! 😔 Thank you for the enthusiasm and love 😘... you are so welcome to come and create with me!! I live half way around the world, though!! 🥹😔 I'm so glad you like the mini illuminated scrolls... yes, you can buy them with any device and get the printables downloaded even on your mobile. But then you have to print them, so maybe email them to a device that you can print from. Or save them on a USB and take them to a printing shop to do that. Have you come right since then? Please let me know...! 💗💗 Irene xx

These are incredibly beautiful! Do you offer any printable books or scrolls for 1:24 scale?
@ladyminiac
@ladyminiac Жыл бұрын
Hello Ays 😊 thank you! I've had customers scale these printables down, producing beautiful 1:24 scale scrolls! 1. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader as your default PDF viewer… you have more options to change size and other printing preferences. 2. When you're in ‘Print’ file, choose Custom Scale 50% The same goes for the mini books! There are 2 more steps: 3. Click on ‘Pages’… and choose Page 1 only. 4. Make sure the paper is snug against the top / bottom of the tray. Print the first page (Page 1). Take that printed page and turn it over in the printer tray so as to face correctly (determine the way your printer needs to draw and roll paper through. First practice with a blank piece of paper and mark it to track the direction). Make sure the paper is snug against the top/bottom of the tray again. Then print page 2 on the back of the first page. You’ll have the back to back printing as you did in 1:12 scale! I've tried it on my own printer, and it works… I hope yours does too! Let me know... 😊 Irene xxx
