I've been watching your vids for a little while now and loving the content, but this is my first comment. I just have to say Thankyou for introducing me to Medaka! My guppy pond took quite the hit this winter (Australia) even though my area has pretty mild temps, the cooler winter this year knocked them out. I am soooo excited to make a switch to Medaka for this pond after seeing your video 🤸‍♀️ I was clueless to their existence though I see they are available here! Super excited for trying them out!

Just bought some!!🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ I've spent the weekend making some mini ponds out of large terracotta pots for a few colour varieties. And my hobby expands some more 😆 I now have a planted tropical tank, an Orchid Tail Oranda tank, a Ranchu tank, a mixed goldfish patio pond made from a poly trough, a pet Flowerhorn named Ducky in his own 6foot tank... and now soon to branch into Medaka. Hubby is loving my new venture baaaahahahaha😬😆 Looking forward to your next video!

They definitely can become a snack if the koi are hungry but if you have hides they will be fine

I love the friendly varieties! Chagoi will always be my number one but you can’t go wrong with soragoi or ochiba. Karashigoi is an honourable mention too 😍😍😍😍😍 all around great video!

Very cold just like koi, in Japan the bowls they’re in frost over the top just make sure that it doesn’t freeze over and you’ll be good they will go into a hibernation state… I’m gonna do a video on them!!🤙🏽💯🤙🏽

My pond freezes over couple inches but I keep a water pump going to keep a.hole in ice for gold fish and blue gill over the winter, that would be sick if these guys made it
