Today I show off the 332 Lumen beast that is the new mini mag pro. This torch is fantastic quality and very bright, bringing Mag back into the game for professionals and civilian use. thanks for supporting Mountain Bear outdoors!

yeah a quick review in the daytime as time was short, let me know when your channel actually uploads something so I can critique your work.

Good video which got across the main benefits of the newer LED Maglite AA Pro as opposed to the original AA incandescent. And I understood you perfectly.

I always used to use mini-maglite's (2xAA) but found the switches don't last and have to be replaced every year or so. The rattle you can hear with the batteries out is the switch assembly. I love the robust construction of Maglite (still have my 4x D-cell 3W LED) but the poor switches and outdated performance compared to what is out there now lets them down. I agree with you regarding the LED lenser quality starting to slip. My old P7 is much better than the new one in build quality, but the newer one is brighter.

its such a shame as I really thought I had found my perfect torch brand until Lenser went cheap with the materials. I guess time will tell how the new Maglite holds up. I might try another brand at some point but its getting harder to get a torch that doesn't have loads of gimmicky modes that I wont use or one that doesn't rely on using usb charging. thanks for dropping by my channel :)

@@mountainbearoutdoors I have a bit of a thing for torches so i own loads of them and always have a torch on me, which is what i like about the p7 as it can go easily into a jacket or cargo trouser pocket. I am starting to find that as the quality goes down on things like maglite and LED lenser the prices tend to stay high and it is starting to make some of the unbranded Chinese stuff more attractive as they are getting better and are generally a fraction of the price.

@@MrDaveH4 I agree with the Chinese stuff creating a big difference in price. im not sure what any good brands of Chinese torches are though as the market is so saturated. do you have any suggestions on a good Chinese torch? thanks for visiting :)

@@mountainbearoutdoors I use Fenix, Olight flashlights, these brands are well known, they are many years on the market, build quality is good, but the price is quite high. For the last 7-8 years they created large amount of models and not all of them worth their price or just have inconvinient options and some bugs. Nevertheless technologies go ahead and it's very handy now to have a modern bright headlamp, like Fenix HL60r, it can be useful in any place and situation, very bright and durable. But I still love my 3C Mag and want to upgrade it using ASF upgrade kit from your country and even add a 2AA LED Mag to my arsenal :)

The Pro+ is a better option because it has a low setting as well which gives a battery life of 27 hours
