I have much to say on this video, if I may. First, congratulations on 200 subs! There really isn't much "real world" reviews on this type of camping. Yes, on forums but it's not the visual appeal of someone literally showing you the ins and out, ups and downs. I think this is a brilliant series that will help many folks on their decisions on what to purchase. Your audio was amazing, you flat nailed it! Your voice is reassuring, calm and you speak with authority on the topic. There's so much content to cover on this; what food to take on the road, tools, first aid, battery backups, spare fuses, light bulbs, modifications. In my opinion, the only person I was to get advice from is the person that's living with it and can speak about my trailer from experience. You have so much to share on this topic and I'm looking forward to your series. Hands down, this is my favorite video you've posted. It is so well done stating facts, audio and production. Well done! Hey buddy ! First and foremost thanks for the shoutout ! I really appreciate your kind comments and ongoing support. I am hooked about this video (and series) because it really outlines the decision points that I went through, while trying to decide which pop up camper was the right one for me. I also came down to the same 3 units and honestly the Mini Mate would’ve been the best option (due to its weight) as my Triumph wouldn’t be the most suitable machine to tow the Excel. The final decision came down to the fact the Lees- Ure Lite facility is located 1.5 hours away so much handier in case I need to order (and pick up) aftermarket parts or repairs. Other than making sure your bike or trike has the towing capacity, I suggest to make sure you can order a hitch ! This was an oversight for me. There aren’t readily available (commercial or off the shelf ) hitches for my Triumph Trophy anywhere so ……I had to design and have mine custom fabricated after buying my Excel unit. (A 1,000 dollars funk up)

The audio for some reason was wayyyy too low, I used a wireless mic system, I had to crank it up in editing as far as I could, that was the first time I had this kind of an issue and I haven't figured out why yet. 😁👍

The Excel 2 by SLT (SunLite Trailers) is expensive, but it is awesome. The Time Out is also an excellent camper, but even their smallest one of the three they have was too heavy for my Spyder ... when you factor in the gear I carry. I really love my Mini Mate, I'll be traveling with it for years to come. 😁👍

I usually select sites that have no services, which are mainly for tents. If I select a site that has full services (water, electric, sewer), I'd have to pay the same price as larger RVs.

I purchased the hitch and wiring harness on Amazon, part numbers below. The hitch was a very easy and quick install. The wiring harness installation however is quite challenging, but I was able to do both installs myself.
