I’ve found that instead of deleting a motorway, you can just move both entrances to where you need them to be. That way you don’t have to wait to get the motorway back

You do actually have to wait - the "new" motorway won't build until the old one disappears. Having said that, it probably does mean that the new motorway builds as soon as the old one goes, without waiting for a slow human to build the new one.

So I had a playthrough earlier today where I was able to keep an imax theater (circle) running by only 3 houses when they were all right next to it so that might be a nice tidbit of info for everyone.

According to the game, I believe it is shopping centres for the small ones, and "skyscrapers?" for the second one, but RCE calls the skyscrapers, Imax cinemas and that has caught on a bit.

For the IMAX cinema thing- it's probably people who watch "Real Civil Engineer" and his gameplay of mini motorways. He calls them supermarkets + IMAX cinemas... that's my educated guess :)

Hey, the changes are good and appreciated. One thing to note on the game Olay, stop lights are good for high volume traffic to 1 location. They aren't good for making 2 groups cut through each other, but like where this game ended, the light would have allowed the traffic at that location to come and go a lot faster. And it's especially worth it when you sometimes chose more roundabouts (ended with 5 unused) instead of 2 lights.

Yeah I do find it Kinda funny how a lot of ppl are like well "traffic lights are useless", and then pick roundabout over traffic lights when those are the options, and end up using at more 1 maybe 2 roundabout the entire game, since they segregate everything anyway xD

What might help when you have a large community of houses serving an Imax long distance via a motorway, is using a roundabout. Split the houses into 2 (or maybe even more) groups, connect each group to the roundabout separately, then connect the motorway to its own branch off the roundabout. Theoretically, this should help reduce the number of 4-way intersections these cars go through. You might need to plan this somewhat in advance, though - definitely before you need the roundabout (because you'll likely need to move the motorway). In general, it seems that you don't pay attention to the 4-way intersections you create close to the houses, even though they kill you just as surely as the ones near the warehouses.

Yes, your voice level is better. Your vids convinced me to download the game yesterday and I was pleased to learn it's Apple Arcade since I was already a member. Played LA and scored 2500+, so not the greatest debut, but I learn something new with each vid I watch. Next I plan to begin employing the "lay roads where you don't want crap to pop up" strategy. Some of the scores at the top of the leaderboard are truly mind-boggling.

What I like about this, is the way complete redevelopment is the plan, early game it's more important really to keep options open by keeping routes open and avoiding nightmare dest spawns. This game shows stuff spawning rapidly once spaces are cleared sometimes awkwardly. Having watched a few games with double dests and recent challenge, I don't think they really prevent going infinite (edit: even if both go round). Some nearby houses hooked up to the high demand colour end help, the car park has 9 bays which is a high capacity. The other entrance ideally feeds mostly the other colour, but the road can add a few stray high demand cars to help feed that round beast from both directions. If both become level 2 I've seen them fed well with local housing (or shortish motorway) to give headroom for jams but the car park does clog up badly sometimes.

Confirmation on 2 slot dests not preventing v. high scores with a good layout. I had one with both becoming round dests (level 2) fed by short motorways, both 2-4 pips stable in good state nearing 5,000 pts. I thought I was going to go infinite as there was little spawn room, very smooth traffic, with 2 motorways in hand and just one trouble area to clean up. Unfortunately I over focused fixing a small problem with a round dest, then a route I cut to improve flow to it as some cars were going a long way round and interfering, caused the remnants to head off in strange direction and take a motorway so clogging up a housing district and neighbourhood around it. My "safe" square dests with local housing, suddenly hit trouble and I was too slow to notice. 😦😦 Damn because I really put a lot into that game and found a good layout.

Also I don't know if you've noticed in game, but when a tile is connected to 4 or more neighboring tiles, cars will slow down when approaching them even if there is no other traffic. This is something I noticed when playing myself which I try and avoid for efficiency's sake. Keep up the great work!

Loving the content keep it up! Not sure if it's personal preference or not, but hitting the lock on the bottom of the screen shows what you've got without having to hover over it. Can save yourself a couple of seconds over the course of a game.

We can lower the volume, but we can't crank it pass a certain point so don't worry about being a bit too loud. Also, watch a few videos and compare your sound with other people on YT, it helped me back then to figure out what I wanted.

You said that you're not sure how to arrange roads into neighborhoods. I notice you sat on your roundabout for the game and I think it could really improve the flow from neighborhoods to destinations. Just give every direction on the roundabout an equal number of houses and the flow is much more efficient imo.

The audio volume definitely has improved since the last video of you I watched ^^ It's still a bit low but I believe that's partly due to the microphone quality rather than just the volume at that point because it's harder to hear you on certain sounds. You're obviously doing amazing at the game already, but looking at this I feel like one area of improvement could be the use of roundabounts and trafic lights. Since roundabouts take so much space and you don't seem to be using them that often in your style of play, it might be a good idea to slap them early in front of residential area in the early game before you run out of space. This way you can preemptively reduce people waiting for each other as they exit their houses in the late game. Also it gives them a speed boost as well as saving some road tiles. In the late game, I know traffic lights are basically useless but there's no point in taking a fifth roundabount when the map has reached its maximum size and there isn't space to place a single roundabount on it anyways xD They can help a little in situations like people rushing at the entrance of the same Imax cinema from different roads at the same time.

I do definitely need to get in the habit of putting round abouts at the exits of suburbs - it will definitely extend out my games. and you are right too, i need to work out a way to stop those points from getting too full that they cant have a roundabout (maybe do some blocking around it) And a new mic which should improve the quality and volume is 2 videos away :D

You could have fixed the congestion at the bottom left red "eyemax" if you swung the motorway to the bend at the right side, then maybe even use a roundabout for the motorway-northern (local) neighbourhood-eyemax if it's still bad. Currently the motorway is crossing ways with the neighbourhood which is causing the congestion at the business. However, it's surprising how a single tier 1 business cost you the game when it had 5 houses tending to it.

you should utilize roundabouts in the suburbs. immediately place a roundabout when a house pops up so they spawn around it. Additionally you should be utilizing roundabout whenever you have a 4 way, where you had alot for light blues
