I love how you do your inside zipper pockets now, a little different from what you did earlier. Plus that outer zipper method with the 90° turn is fantastic. I can’t wait to try it!! As always, your video is superb!! And I love all your little sayings!!

Thank you! I love the look of that bag, but I don't have any need for such a large bag. So I might follow your lead and reduce the size and make it. The zipper method for the start of the top closure blew my mind.

I speak in idioms too! I didn’t realize until I started doing lives and watched them back! I think idioms are a unique and fascinating language! 😅. I guess that makes me bilingual! 😂😂😂

oohh I like the overlay on the strap. I like this pattern and the 70% is excellent. Your zipper placement method for exterior zipper is a game changer!

Do you consider selling kits in requested colors? Asking because with my arthritis, hard to cut out the pattern pieces. Love your work and watching your videos…
@SewGnar14 сағат бұрын
I haven’t made kits for these larger sized bags but I would consider a one time option if you want to send me an email! I’ll have to price it out.

I like Guicy Guice fabric too, his geometric prints. I checked out the tote, that thing really is pretty massive before reducing down the size. I've double birthed a few patterns and I like the result of the ones I've done so far.

@@SewGnar You were saying that in the video and I can see why lol...totally perfect.

Hard ruler to get straight stitch lines and making the 90 degree turn for the zipper is simply brilliant! Leaving the woven webbing hanging over the edge of the bag to prevent fraying….genius! I believe you have a TL2010 correct? I didn’t realize you could use a Tex 80 in that model….who knew? I have a TL 18 QVP and would love to try it. I love all your videos - I learned so much from this video!
@SewGnar14 сағат бұрын
I started with Tex 45 to see how it handled it, and it was perfectly fine; so now I kinda push it. I don’t think anything larger than 80 would work, it likes to shred sometimes. Tex 70 has been a dream, no issues whatsoever!

Can't wait to try this pattern at 70%!! A question about the kraftex, when googling it, is it considered a kraft paper? That's all I seem to find.🤨

Kraft Tex? I’ve been deep into bag making this past year (for my sanity) and saw very few ppl using it. Then I could only find it in one place. Can you list your sources for it in the US. Thanks.
@SewGnar15 сағат бұрын
I love kraftex, it’s my favorite stabilizer by far. I just Google it and purchase the cheapest I can find, last time I got a bolt because it was more cost effective and I use it so often.

I love this size! I thought I was alone regarding those “ears” 😂 How did you attach the crossbody strap to the overnight bag you made? OMG 🤯 you are a genius with the 90* zipper installation. I’ve been slacking on my social media for my 🧠 health so if you’ve done this before, I’m sorry I missed it. 🫶🏼

I attached the strap anchors the same way as this video, over the top side edge. So happy you learned from this video 🫶🏼🫶🏼
