If you put 2 or 3 large books under both ends of your machine, you would then be able to get the bag under the machine.

Yes because it has an exposed cap rather than prongs set in between the two layers. I’ve been loving them!

You’ll need to get attachments for whatever press you have, mine is from goldstar so that’s where I got them. These snaps are called spring snaps (also from goldstar).

I have seen many instructional video and honestly most are boring and not so good to help me learn. I find your's are well done and thought out which make them move along nicely. Thank you for a unique approach. I too am a South Carolinian...takes one to know one. I can't get fabric funhouse web site to launch wonder if they are out of business or hacked? I like to buy my waxed canvas from Sailrite because its ten bucks cheaper and the ship it on a roll, so there are no wrinkles or creases . Just sayin

I’m back to let you know I’ve made 4 dopp kits using your tutorial. These are the minor changes I’ve made: I butterflied the seam allowance of the two outside pieces and topstitched them in place 1/8” from the seam. It makes the base of the bag so smooth! And I cut the handle piece into two 7x3 pieces, folded the long sides to the center back and topstitched them in place 1/8” and 1/2” from each side. Then I installed them on each end like you did. Thanks again for this tutorial!
