Taking a look at the limited edition boxed release of Mini Prince by Anne Bras! It's a text mode Prince of Persia clone for MS-DOS that comes in a tiny package, and it's delightful.

I just checked the website and it says the floppy thing is a sticker for SD card and the sleeve is for the SD card to put in: "Game + SD card NOT included!!! The game can be downloaded for FREE and can then be copied onto your own personal SD card! You can use the SD card sticker and sleeve to make your Limited Edition Mini-Box complete. :)"

With this info the whole thing makes some sense - not reflecting too much on the fact that an SD card is quite an overkill medium to store a tiny DOS game. ;-)

Hi everyone, the creator hobbyist of the mini-box here. :) Many thanks for your feedback! I began designing mini-box for known game titles at the 3rd quarter of 2017, and my design keeps evolving as time goes by. I learned a lot in my years of research in terms of box designs and the varies material qualities and techniques to making boxes, such as this cute mini-box that you see in the video, and I make it mostly by hand. I usually include with my mini-boxes additional items, such as a cute mini-diskette in an envelope or an empty SD card in an envelope that you can store the game files on, flyers, "code-like" wheels, and even a printed READABLE mini-manual of a few pages. The inner content varies depending on the title that is made. Though each additional item requires extra material, extra work to make (both in software and physically), and hence the final price becomes higher. I use genuine original ink that costs more to print my stuff, so there's no "fading-out" issues that occur with cheap compatible ink. And I also use good quality type of paper/cardboard. I really do my best to make durable items that will be made-to-last and I dedicate a lot of love in making them. I even shrink-wrap the final mini-box to give the buyer the ultimate unboxing experience and from the video I now agree even more that it's a nice touch. I'm running a facebook group for my mini-boxes if you'd like to join and take a look. Search for "Miniature PC & Video Game Box Handicraft Creations". When Anne Bras, the creator of the Mini-Prince game, saw the potential of my mini-box design he asked me if I can make him a small batch of special edition boxes for his game, but the price with the many goodies was too high for him, and I really wanted to give him a hand so his free game will have a mini-box for whomever wish to add it to their collection. :) Therefore, we worked together trying to agree on a discounted price for the actual mini-box with only a few items inside (include worldwide shipping), that would be both reasonable for the buyers and still be worthwhile for me to make. And as you probably guessed - such cute little items take time to make and also involve shipping logistics; meaning more material costs and more time going to the post office to ship the items as I don't have stock - I make the mini-boxes to order. I really hope that I threw some light on some comments/questions/claims below. If anyone has an additional question you're more than welcome to reach me through my facebook group. And yes, as many were confused with the size of the mini-diskette - this is an SD card STICKER for whomever wish to add an SD card to the mini-box on their own. :) I have another design for a mini-diskette which you can see in my facebook group. Unfortunately, Including even the smallest capacity SD card was not worthwhile at the agreed price and hence we decided to go only with a sticker and an envelope. Cheers, Gal Shemesh

For everyone that is interested... Here are the secrets of the game! 😉 1. The Boss Key: Just press F9 during gameplay 😉 2. Cheats: Type "PRINCEMINIHIT" in the first room to activate the cheats SHIFT + T = Extra bar of energy K = Kill on-screen enemy + = Increase time (steps) - = Decrease time (steps) Enemy corpses will be BLOODY!!! 😉 3. Unlockable #1 Finish the game with a score of 150 or higher. 4. Unlockable #2 There is a secret entrance to a secret room with a portal that is only open if you reach it before you timer passes "120" (press SPACE to check). After that the entrance closes. This entrance is located 1 room below the sword and then 2 rooms to the right. You can reset the Highscore (and the unlockables) simply by deleting the SCORE.LOG file. Good luck! ;)

If I remember correctly from when I first saw that this was a thing, the "mini floppy" is supposed to be a sticker for you to place over an SD card, which should fit a bit nicer in the paper sleeve. And in theory of course you'd flash the game onto said SD, or any other princely treasures.

thought so too, but of course there were no data formats small enough on an old DOS PC. With a CD ROM drive maybe, you could create a disk that's 90% the whole in the middle, 10% everything else, might fit in the box, but might be a real chore to get into your ROM drive correctly.

Well, in the original you don't even need to get the sword in the first level. Just lure the sword guy out, then go over him and run to the exit. You'll automatically have the sword in the second level. Would be cool if this would work in Mini Prince as well.

An expensive finish would be a tiny UART controller that uploads the data in DOS file format via 2 jumper wires on your serial port. I remember it's possible to substitute the hardware console with serial line input, with a specific command. Basically, the chip must literally type the data as if it was a real user.
