I remember my late father, who was a Merchant Marine (Chief Mate -- 2nd in command -- and yes, I'm bragging here), telling me that this is what many restaurants do in Japan. Instead of ordering from a menu, customers "assemble" their orders much like in this video. I've never been to Japan, but this video brought back memories of my late father's stories. Thank you for sharing it :) Someday, I might go to Japan and see for myself how these things are done.
