2 quick questions about lamination as i never did before, which thickness did you recommend and can i laminate with a simple iron
@AdamGdoesFPV3 жыл бұрын
I used thicker stuff, the stuff they sell at RMRC tiny.cc/laminate But now I tend to use the thinner stuff as it saves weight and is easier to work with. I cannot tell you the thickness on this plane, but on my more recent planes I used 75 micron. I'm not too sure what you mean by a "simple" iron but i guess most will do the job, well worth buying a hobby specific one as it makes the job much easier and they're cheap tiny.cc/LaminatingIron

Good to see your video with detailed description. I am building this plane currently.I wonder why you place the video transmitter attenna by the edge of the wingtip?

Maximum separation of vtx antenna and receiver antenna. Gives more chance of a clean video feed and solid rc link :) Good luck with your build and thanks for watching!

Can you provide the positions of the ruddervator for the stabilized flight mode. Also in stabilized mode , what is the position of the left and right V-Tail when we do a right yaw.....thank you in advance
@AdamGdoesFPV3 жыл бұрын
To make the plane go up both surfaces go up. To make it go down both go down. To go right both go right. To go left both move to the left. In stabilised mode they will oppose the angle of the plane. So if the nose goes up, control surfaces both go down to try and bring the nose back down level.

Good stuff as always Adam. I really admire/respect the effort into putting videos like this together! Quick question: have you ever tried 1.3 video with linear antennas? Cheers and happy new year!
@AdamGdoesFPV5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Charles :) and happy new year to you too! I have flown linear antennas, but it was just stock both ends. Problem is, once you start with CP and build up a collection it's expensive to think of changing (Especially when the GS is built on a CP Pepperbox).

Curious, for laminating film, what thickness are you using? I saw in the product links it does not specify thickness. Thank you again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

@AdamGdoesFPV4 жыл бұрын
Does it happen when you’re closer than 1km or just when you get a bit of distance?

It only happens when I get a bit of distance. I also tried switching out the VTX the same problem .

@@joeyallan8589 My suggestions are : -try changing the antennas both ends to rule them out -try a different location in case of local interference. -if once you reach 1km and lines appear, but they remain once you head closer to home, check the cooling is sufficient on the Vtx

Hey mate, I actually enter launch mode on the AP in the usual way on the MFD AP, then I have a 'Launch mode' on the tx. All this does is set 80% throttle on a 10 second delay, making it easy to launch without the need to touch the tx :)

Hi! How important is there to separate all the antennas? Can't find any real info, just that some do and some don't. (About to build my own right now and I'm planning the layout)
@AdamGdoesFPV4 жыл бұрын
I do this based on my own experience. I've built and flown maybe around 15-20 FPV planes now and I've had issues where separation isn't good enough. This can be limited range of control link, video link and problems with GPS dropping out. If i have 2 planes that carry almost identical gear, the one with the antennas out on the wings giving the max separation is always the one that will be able to successfully fly longer range without a failsafe or loss of video. People that don't fly far from home won't need to separate their components as much. Build your plane in a way that makes sense for your use and if you run into issues you can always rethink it. Cheers
