When I do single twist like this they stick up in the air. My hair is about the same length as yours. I’m thinking maybe it’s because my hair is thin/fine/ not heavy enough to just hang? What do you think? Anyone?
@ImGloriaAnn6 жыл бұрын
It could be the products you're using. If i use a light moisturizer on my hair that my hair will soak up in 5 minutes, my hair will be super dry and stick up and look crazy the next day. I would advise using a thick butter like UFD Extra butter, or something thick that will moisturize your hair following up with a gel styler to give you that shine, bounce and hold.

I have 2c/3a hair. I've had my hair highlighted and straitened till I was 18. Then I started on my own natural hair journey. Even after 5 years, I'm still learning. My mom has 4a hair. She's had her hair straitened and highlighted for as long as I can remember. She's just now starting to go natural for the first time, but her hair is damaged. I really appreciate this video. I'm trying to find ways to help style her hair and what kind of products she may need. Thought twist might be a good way to restore, hydrate and protect her hair as it grows out.

@nanaesio.nyarkoh28585 жыл бұрын
As someone who only keeps her hair in twists, let me try to help: When kept well, it can last two weeks. At night, if you don’t want shrinkage, band it and sleep with a bonnet. I don’t really care about shrinkage, so I simply sleep with a silk bonnet. In the morning, I spray both water and Cantu Coconut Oil shine and hold mist, then I brush back my edges with Ghanaian Mercy ointment or Black Jamaican Castor Oil
