This is a very nice unit! Picked mine up last Sunday and ran about 500 lbs of Burnt River dirt thru it.. Ended up with about 2 cups of concentrates to pan out, very efficient! Built to last and very well designed for portability and ease of use. Will be doing business w/ Mike and Northwest Mining again!

Thank you! The Mini-Wash 6 is electric, it is powered off a deep cycle marine battery that will run the unit for aproxamatly 4 days. We do not currantly have a website but expect it to be up and running by the begining of the year.

Thank you, yes I agree that an active grizzly would make the world of difference. The Mini-Wash 6 has a removable/ upgradeable feed hopper box just for this reason. A vibratory hopper box that classifies to roughly 1"- for this model is a $300 upgrade extra, the one shown in this video is our base model. The trommel tube is also replaceable in about 3 minutes for classifying to different size material.

Mike Nickell it would be better to put Purfurated aluminum or flat expanded on the hopper and have the back lip trimmed down to hold it but enough lip to let the water n goods go down the rabbit hole like you have...just an idea. Are you still making the backpacker version?

Nice trommel, I like your use of lightweight durable material. If you could design a modular, lightweight trommel with active grizzly and progressive 2 cut screen, the world would beat a path to your door.

put a free standing rig over the top with some grizleys to wash and eject all the big rocks . how about a big flat grille that has a lever to dump once in a while . the only thing you need to worry about washing are the big rocks so raise all the sprayers up --- with more pressure and andustible spray heads

The purpose of a trommel is to provide classification in multiple outputs, not just two, keep and dump, but to allow for variable tuning of gold capture for the keep outlets.

Thank you, I spent literally hundreds of hours researching the competition and fixing the shortcomings of their machines before I finally landed on this design. Unfortunately last year I fell off a 25' cliff on a mining trip and broke my back in 2 places, so production has since ceased for the time being. I will be re- launching the company with an expanded product line next summer (2015) including an 8" trommel dredge and a light weight 6" backpack trommel.

I love the dust up over perfect symmetry . Actually the material is getting washed better by the barrel disturbing the ore on its way to the sluice . The fellow that is a mining expert needs to go upstairs and have his mom microwave another him another hotpocket . That is a fine small trommel .

+Russ Fleetwood Actualy no mate he is right cause a trommel should have a good "scrubbing" section in it before hitting the holes. Material shouldn't be bouncing around inside the tube, if you wanted that then buy a washing plant. I don't think you have done much mining yourself. Just cause you like a couple of trommel videos doesn't make you an expert. Please give links to your working trommel. This guy has a great concept but might be a work in process. You show how stupid you really are by insulting people with something you have no knowledge on.

Must be a demo unit, because no one serious about fine gold recovery would use that sluice. 30%slick plate, 30% expanded metal over a mat or moss, and 30% riffles. Look up the Clarkson study. Also, do you have a unit that transfers the water in the sluice better? Thinking of water loss for a recirculating system. Oh and the guys whining about trommels needing to be smooth...just wow. Anyone who has ever been in clay knows you need violent action in the trommel...octo trommels work great for clay, for example.

Billy , it is a 6 inch trommel made of plastic pipe . I decided to insult a person who is picking apart another miner with no research or factual basis . He posted no links ect . I am on my 5th trommel . What does the scrubbing section do ? I weld in agitators that wash the material as it enters the barrel . One of my claims has a lot of clay and cemented gravel . The more violent the better . Further , the commenter is telling them to not buy this mans product with no factual knowledge of his statement . Why are some trommels made with octagon shaped barrels ? That would definitely throw the material around . I will stick up for mike until actual research proves a straight barrel is the only option .

I almost brought up the octagon barrel too but I didn't want to have to explain what an octagon was.lol The Mini-Wash6 has over 2000 hours of controlled testing done with 97% recovery of gold 100mesh and larger at 1cu.yd. per hour feed. So regardless what all the professional KZbin miners say I have actual facts that make their theories look ridiculous. Thank you for your support against the KZbin Einsteins.
