Hi Nigel. I was really impressed by the detail in this kit. So much so that I ordered one. I’ve done some super detailed aircraft interiors and car kits. I look forward to the challenges of this kit. Thanks for the great review video!

Just doing the t-55 version from miniart and I agree, a mojo breaker 😂 Done a vlog on it- step-by-step - and am just finishing the painting. Quite comprehensive and a sure test of patience. Appreciate your review mate, Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻

I have several of the Miniart kits ...they are hard work and not for the faint hearted ...once built though they are definitive and accurate models ...but this type of model is clearly for the more experienced modeller. I have been pleading with Miniart to produce a transparent upper hull / copula version as the amount of detail inside the tank is awesome. I often build one of their kits whilst also building something less complex, to call it a “mojo breaker” is an understatement ( says me who is about to start the Tamiya 1/350th Yamato Premium Edition with Pontos PE set ) especially if like me you don’t like to leave any PE etc untouched. Miniart also allow downloading of their instructions from the website so you can look at the model in detail prior to purchase ...I have found due to the odd omission that using 3 sets of different instructions enables one to understand everything. I am currently building their Omibus B-Type and their Tiran 4 Early ...both intense builds but the tank is if a whole magnitude deeper build ...I am a huge fan boy for this manufacture and the price / time to build represents excellent value for money. Sadly, the molding process for the Omnibus seems to have have gone a little wibble-fish-banana and there is a huge amount of flash on several frames which take an age to clean up ...thus flash not present on any of their Tiran / T-55 / SU-85 etc models ...I suspect the QC chap may have had a tad too much vodka on that manufacturing day lol...the molding of fine parts is some of the very best in the industry and takes plastic molding to the very limits of its technology ...my final advice with these kits is use the very very best nippers you can afford and make sure they are super sharp and take your time and don’t necessarily build in order suggested by instructions.

Agree 100% with all you say Kenrick. Sorry to hear about your quality issues with the bus.
@kenrickfearn14484 жыл бұрын
Nigel’s Modelling Bench thanks Nigel- it seems that the QC is present on the civilian bus kit across the board...shame ...but not the end of the world...most of my bus build has been cleaning flash and very very carefully removing and smoothing nibs on the very fine rail pieces which takes an age of careful cutting and sanding ...I have broken 3 so far but all gone back together seamlessly. BTW Nigel your review on Inifini and Premium Products has just cost me a 3 figure sum lol...but you sold them to me and I can’t wait for my parcel to arrive next week from Ed ... the PE set etc will be super useful for Miniart stuff and my Yamato which is next for me when I finish the Omnibus or Tiran which ever happens first...love your show and unfortunately I have a terminal illness which sometimes means I can’t model as often as I would like but watching you makes me smile and gets my all psyche up for my next session - so thx for that mate ...I just hope I can finish my Yamato which was a birthday present from my wife 10 years ago ...should have started it earlier grrr....

Just finished watching the video on this tank. Looks really impressive. I haven’t really done much armor but would really like to start building some.

I really wouldn't start with this kit.. I've just uploaded a video on the Meng Magach 6B GAL BATASH. That's pretty impressive.

Nigel’s Modelling Bench ok I’ll check that out. I’m currently working on the tamiya walker bulldog. It’s seems like a pretty simple kit to start with. Watched some of your wwI tank builds too. Really enjoyed those videos sir.

Another nice video Nigel. I know it's hard to keep motivated with all those small parts. The kit I am working on right now has 1140 parts, it's taking me for ever!!! Sometimes you just have to work on something and put it down until later. See you next time.

Nice one,neat paintwork.So much more complex than WW2 tanks,you must have your painting well organized.The books look useful,i chipped an Egyptian/syrian T34\122 back to WW2,but i bet the colours are well off.Cheers.

Looks like that’ll be a great kit when finished, Nigel. It’s making me feel better about putting the Scud to one side and doing something else, coming to the end of an Airfix 1/72 Spitfire 1A and researching my next build - a Mossie FBVI of 618 Squadron - they were based for a time at RAF Wick (just a mile from me)

I can understand why you would not want to do do a video build of this kit with all the parts it would take too long. Of course you could try the build in stop motion made up of subassemblies then assembled that way. Nice review, and hope to see it as a completed kit. Cheers.

I wish miniart would give us a full full engine and transmission
@NigelsModellingBench5 жыл бұрын
Shawn Brownstein agree 100%. They go to a lot of trouble to put these together and then miss out a major part of the tank? I wish they would give us the parts to have the radiator raised as seen on so many Titan tanks.

Funnily enough Tamiya have a new tool T-55 in 1/48th release due - could be worthy of a conversion to a Tiran 5 without a 100 sprues ;)

Good thing I didn’t buy it before watching this video, otherwise I would get myself into some 2 years build. In my opinion this level of detail is already an overkill.

Your pronounciation is correct unless you have a heavy Israeli accent. I agree totally about the top-line all- singing and dancing MiniArt kits, not helped by the instruction booklet which have a habit of missing things out...real mojo breakers
