Hi everyone! Here is my Miniature Polymer Clay Chocolate Mini Egg Cake with Colourful Pastel Rainbow Icing - Tutorial Video!
This cake would make an ideal fake food item for your dollshouse Easter display. This chocolate sponge cake has been decorated with pastel rainbow icing going around the cake. It has topped with white icing and mini eggs.

The type of Polymer Clay I use in this video is Fimo Clay. Baking times vary depending on the brand of clay used - please refer to the instructions on your clay packets.
This Fimo Clay was baked at 110°C/230F.

MIXING THE CLAY COLOURS:
○ Caramel: I mixed caramel with a bit of white translucent clay to get the main sponge cake colour.
○ Chocolate: I mixed chocolate with a bit of white translucent clay.
○ Pastel Rainbow Colours: In the video at (10:00) I show the amount of white used with the rainbow colours to get the pastel colours for the icing and the mini eggs.

What are you using as a surface - my clay keeps sticking 😢

I work on a large gloss white tile. I then transfer it to a smaller white gloss tile to place it in a fan oven. I remove the unbaked piece from the large tile with my crafting blade.
