Seems to me this might be a good way to break in one to shafts as well, if there is only one person to train. Or do you think this is only for a well trained one, just in case? I have been training for several years, and it always gets unwieldy holding the shaft assembly up with one hand and dealing with the whip and reins.

This IS a good tool for training!! The key is the snap. Automatic release is important in any and all uses for the rigging. We have had several people give us feedback on using it for training, and ALL were very positive!!

The snap is a heavy snap, with a slider mechanism - Kelly rigged it to accept a wrist tether. You of course, can see how well it works in the video! You can use the contact form on the pattysponyplace.com website to get in touch if you would like to!

Have you thought of using a kite surfing sit harness instead of a belt

Indeed we have had a few suggestions regarding the belt. Frankly, I tried to make it simple, but workable, so as to keep the cost down for folks. I am looking at alternatives for next season, and a kite surfing harness will now be on my list to check out! Thank you!
