Hey there folks! Link to my well palette:
www.cheapjoes.com/cheap-joes-...
Also--oops, inflation, the price is up to $11.59. Still a bargain. :)
I think the wet palette might be Game Envy? I don't remember, I got it as part of a Kickstarter fulfillment. But there are TONS of different wet palettes out there--shop around!
I'll probably do another supplies video about brushes, maybe another one on generally useful hobby supplies and lights. Hope you're enjoying the channel!

I’m very new, but have started using a children’s ‘popit’ silicon fidget toy as a palette. Works really well for cleaning as the paint just pops right out when it’s dry. Really enjoying this series.

I just started painting miniatures last month after taking a hiatus for 15 years. I have been struggling with paint consistency using a wet palette, so this video was super super helpful. Thank you so much for these fundamentals videos, they have been immensely helpful!

I primarily use a wet palette, but I do have a small plastic well palette I use for certain tasks, and they're actually not difficult to keep clean. I wait for any paint to dry, peel out what I can, and then just fill the well with 91% isopropyl alcohol. It's inexpensive and you can get it at any drugstore. Let it sit for a while and then wipe it clean with a paper towel - or you could just use an alcohol-based first aid prep pad with the same results. No abrasion when I use this method, and I can get the palette squeaky clean - unlike my friend who's never cleaned his and now it could be used as armor.

At least with parchment type membranes, there is no need to pre-soak the paper. When you place the dry paper on the wet sponge, yes, it will curl - but as the paper absorbs more water, it will begin to lay flat on its own. This is also better because you're not stretching the fibers in the paper. I'm not a professional painter but I am a professional baker, and I notice the same behavior on a larger scale.
