Miniature painting can be found to be therapeutic as I do, with a small amount of time you can build up a collection of minis which will allow you to make your modelling diorama that little model interesting. For me painting model people gives me that feeling that I’m still making progress with the model railway as they are part of the end goal for each layout I do as they are the garnish at the end of the project.
For Montys models visit Dart castings website
P&D marsh have there own website
Bugleskelly station for there excellent 3D prints

3:02 The Land Girls date back to WWII as part of the home front, replacing farm workers who were in demand for the army - actually farm boys making arguably the best soldiers due to being tough out-door types used to making do and being in a hierarchy. There were a few Land Girl appearances in "Dad's Army" and "Foyle's War" and there is an eponymous 1998 film. They seemed to have gone around in small groups. The Land Girls Uniform was brown corduroys and green wooly-pully. Great vids by the way. I voted for you for again for Model Railway KZbinr of the year, and not just because you do OO9 which is my gauge/scale. I'm not surprised by Charlie Bishop's annual re-coronation with his 66K subscribers but it's all good publicity for the hobby, and I'm sure you'll get there in the end !

Nice work Tris. I'm slowly doing some in 7mm, I used to paint 1/35 figures, so had to get into a smaller mindset. I'll probably call on Dan to help me with some figures too, due to my health issues etc, but it's nice to do something therapeutic like this👍💜✌️😊

Great video. I often have trouble getting flesh coloured paint to look like flesh and was hoping that you'd cover that but you skipped to the completed figures. Can you give tips on painting flesh?

Painting Tiny People. Nice. I would definitely need OO scale figures in order to make some Human characters for my Thomas & Friends OCs. If you’ve seen the channel called The Horrocks Branch, the OO scale Human Figures do play an Important role.

Brilliant video, and for me, a great follow-up to your 009 videos as my grandson (11) is going to build a 009 layout and has some figures to paint. Maybe he'll post videos on his channel Dylington Model Railway. I'm looking forward to the next video. Cheers James

I held my breath most the way through that….goodness knows how you chatter away and do minute work such as that….if I was doing it each figure would look like a pizza 😀!

White metal figures are highly detailed so tend to be expensive; so I tend to buy the Chinese plastic ones, where you can get 25/50 for the price of 1 or 2 white metal figures. The only issues being they tend to be poorly painted in somewhat garish colours and in a sort of gloss paint. They can be overpainted with acrylics but I wonder if there's a better way?
