This is actually a variation of my goto method to paint figures: paint the base and a highlight, and then add a glaze/wash to darken it, and the reason for that is because I'm really not a fan of the bubblegum look that many model painters go for ('push the highlights!"), and skin on large figures really need a ton of washes to get that slightly transluscent look that real skin has - even critters like rancors, so that effect came out incredibly well here.

tamiya airbrushed is stronger than acrylic. have you tried spraying tamiya? it stays on my fingertips for days
